But seriously... we in Australia don't really have access to guns and wouldn't know how to use one, so I would have to rely on physical force if being physically attacked or defending my home and food if SHTF. In this case, size mostly matters where brutal strength is needed.

There is no "secret purpose" of why we are saying we are "without male" - just discussing our opinions of what to do during our impending doom... may be if one feels this is a conspiracy, we could start a new thread on "the real reason why" women would actually admit that they are single!

After taking a look at your profile I see you have devoted to creating threads in the survival forum. I assume you are male so I won't call you a 'mama bear" who appears to be concerned for your cubs (male or female). Survival issues seems to be your forte and after reading somewhat on a few of your threads you seem to be concerned for the well being of others. The threat of a SHFT seems to be a reality to you so your concerns are understood to me.

As for this OP, you are asking a great question and I'm sure many single women are in turn contemplating their own plans and preparations from the seeds you've planted. I feel it is our responsibility to be prepared just in case and to consider the desperations of others if they didn't prepare. The consequences could be a matter of life and death from the start. It's good to have someone watching your back as you are also watching theirs.

You forgot to mention GSOH, a sense of humor will be vital in any survival scenario and every dating add must have GSOH on it, its the law.

Make no mistake, if SHTF, I would not be the pretty, friendly and sweet woman that people know me as.

As a woman or women surviving as a group, the initial priority after food, water and shelter would be to avoid dangerous situations involving men. A big priority would be to avoid rape and pregnancy at all costs, in a SHTF situation, during the initial years, raising a child would be not only extremely difficult when food is scarce etc, but also very dangerous, and you would become a much easier target.

So learning how to defend youself from rape would be VERY important for all single women to learn. Learn martial arts, learn how to use Sais, staffs, knives or sticks. Guns, swords etc are flashy and convenient for a limited time, but won't serve your purpose long term, unless you have a endless supply of bullets.

Archery is also a valuable skill, both for hunting and defense.

Now more than ever, women need to learn how to look after themselves and not rely on a man to 'protect' them. Women are very capable, strong, very wise and intuitive, traits which will help in a survival situation if used the right way. Women will form strong and protective communities, the larger the better. Loyalty and trust of each other would make a strong foundation for a lasting and successful tribe. An all women tribe would do incredibly well in a survival scenario, and should not be underestimated.

Killing is something I would never ever want to do (but I would in a second if it was a life or death situation involving myself or my tribe) and I would not hesitate to puncture your testicles, pop your eyeballs out or beat you senseless if the need arises during a SHTF scenario.

Single women will undoubtedly form amazon communes where their natural feisty nature and ability to think outside the box will lead them to commandeer the weapons caches and food supplies they'll need to protect themselves.

Then, they will selectively choose which men they will allow to dwell in their midst.

And that's where the trouble starts. Because they inevitably end up inviting men like .....

either Charlie Sheen or Justin Bieber.

Which is how society got the way it already is.
