We have seen all of the recent threads regarding the rapture happening this Saturday. I personally think this is ridiculous, but if people want to believe that then fine. What I want to know is are there any real people here on ATS that actually believe this? If there are then please tell me why? Also tell me what preparations, if any, you are making. On Sunday, what kind of threads will we see?

I personally believe that there has been too much going on in this world, too many negative things, and these are the things that the media is telling us about, what about the things that are kept secret from society, I strongly believe in God with a capitol G~ bugs me how some of you put a lowercase, but im kinda confused on how a earth quake can happen in each time zone at local 6pm time, been thinking about that for a while now, ive come to the conclusion that it may be an asteroid impact that will create a shockwave and travel the earth

Personally I don't think this will occur, we don't know when and what will happen.
With that said I just heard a man come over the Ham radio singing about the coming
of the rapture - he was from Puerto Rico

It went something like this:
Jesus is coming
Jesus is coming
this weekend..

He carried a good tune.

I'm more of an Agnostic so does this mean that I don't have to participate in the Rapture if I choose not to?

no one knows the time, day, or the hour.... i personally feel that everyone wished it would happen saturday so they can escape the stress of everyday life, but you know what the sad part is, the majority of people that believe this BS arent ready for when the Lord really comes.... Im making pancakes sunday morning if anyone wants to join me before I head to church

As an athiest, no way but as terror said, got the popcorn ready. Say, do you think Jesus likes popcorn?

Anyway, from their point of view. NOONE knows when the rapture will be, noone but God and Jesus ... unless this if ofcourse the acting of the antichrist.

OR just maybe! Jesus hooked himself up to facebook and twitter! just maybe! i mean, get with the times

I have a feeling something's going to happen.

No preparation is necessary; it's not a zombie apocalypse. Any preparation would have had to be done beforehand. Having that heightened sense of awareness where you become one with your spirituality. I've had that perspective shift where I now view the world on a spiritual level.

I don't see why there has to be a big fuss. Either something happens or doesn't.

Of course, the ultimate preparation is not acting irrationally out of fear and ignorance on the day, if something does happen. That would be all the non-believers running and screaming, slipping through fissures to the depths of the earth.

Those who believe in Harold Camping have lost twice. 1st because they believe a man who says things will happen contrary to the way the Bible say they will happen.... 2ndly becuase they don't really beleive him anyway.

If they did. Really believed in Harolds prophecy, they would give away the house, the car, their money and their possessions. But no one will, they are just hedging their bets = a non believer.

There is no true believer of Harold Camping or Ronald Weinland, they just do not exist and are too scred he might be wrong becuase none of them is as radical in action as their words suggest. If Christ was returning you would not live today as you did last month yet all of theose two guys supporters live as they did three years ago.

Give everyhting away, today, becuase you no longer need it and prove it's done and I will applaud your faith.

God help you on Monday though.

Look at this. Even an atheist knows the Bible better than some of the religious, whcih isn't surprising because being religious does not mean you are counted as one of Gods.

Congratulation Sir, you, as an atheist nailed those who actually believe the 'false' prophet to the door using the very Bible they are suppossed to know.

Not quite sure what I can say to that other than I do have a good giggle when people follow this type of thing without even questioning it ... It's common sense really... I suppose that's what they call blind faith..
