U.S. President Barack Obama will call on Israel to withdraw to the 1967 borders and agree to additional concessions that will enable a resumption of the peace process.. Obama will call on Israel to withdraw to the 1967 cease-fire lines with territorial adjustments that will be agreed on in the negotiations with the Palestinian National Authority. The president will label the West Bank settlements as "illegal" and emphasize that Israel must halt their construction.

I really don't think Israel will take well to this. There is certainly to be some backlash and tension from a speech of that magnitude. I don't see how Israel will accept this, the administration surely knows it as well. I'm sure they were advised on the matter. Although, The fact that the speech leaked, might just make the Obama administration back off from such a stunning turn of events.

I don't know for sure, or exactly why, but it all seems a bit fishy to me. Sounds like it's all been pre-planned to go down this way, as far as the leaking document and what it says.

I'm taking bets right now that he does just the opposite. He's going to back Israel to the hilt. Oh sure, there will certainly be a bit of "now you cannot do that" and "you should be doing this" but when all the dust settles there will be no repercussions.

Some how I think there are enough Americans that will be pissed if we don't support Israel..............

I'm pretty sure Jesus had the ultimate come back to that statement by being the way and the light and he stated to stand down in confrontation and to do unto others.. as you know, but I think the stoning is OT and Jesus had a lot of changes to the old ways like getting rid of animal sacrifices.

I don't know how many times it was re-written, can you tell me? I think if the bible has been edited or re-written, one might as well just listen to the things Jesus says because he has no bad concepts on how to live IMO. And he is our salvation and died for our sins, also IMO. I don't want to go against the what the bible says but it's hard to know what man has changed to meet his needs over the time.

How can you be sure Jesus ever existed and said those things if you can't tell what man has changed and what he didn't change in the bible?

I would like to state right-out, that this news should be taken with a grain of salt, as I can't seem to find the same information being presented by any reliable sources.

That being said, if Obama is truly going to call for the reversal of Israel's expansion, and condemn the Gaza settlement as illegal (which is is), then I will be one truly impressed individual.

None of our previous presidents have had the courage to stand up to Israel, so I have my doubts that Obama will either. The Israel lobby is far too powerful and they have their hands in way too many pockets for there to be any sort of official criticism coming from America.

We barely raised a finger during the last few military operations that resulted in hundreds of Palestinian civilian casualties. It's about damn time we stood up to them.
