I was thinking about this the other day and it got me quite mad to be honest. This complete bull# system we have in UK where Idiots who couldnt be arsed to go to school and cant be arsed to get a job sit there with their hands out and take mojney off the government for doing absolutely # all. well Im sick if it and sick of them, no wonder this country is on its way down the toilet when god knows how much of our budget is geared towards creating enough money to cover paying for these frauds. Make the bastards #in work for it at least, theres plenty stuff that needs doing. If your on hand outs for so long and still you have no job then bye bye benefits, if you still want money work for it like all of us suckers do. Bastards lowest of the low, not an ounce of pride, honour or ambition between them. How can you go through life knowing youve achieved nothing and not being bothered. They should all be castrated and the crime commiting resource draining arseholes of this group should be put to sleep.

I here ya m8. Not much different across the pond. I did what I was supposed to do, been workin since I was 16, did well in school, did well in college. All thats gotten me is more work to be done, Just like my Dad I'll never be able to retire, but people on the govt dime can just sit and chill, smoke weed and sleep late. Must be nice but it aint for me.

its the same, if not worse here in "america". i know personally off the top of my head 4 people that dont work and havent worked in over 2 years while i'm out there paying for them to sit at home and do nothing while i work a low paying, tedious job. But hey at the end of the day at least i know i did something, i contributed a little bit.

Every face you meet has a story behind it. You couldn't possibly know them all. Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge others.

We have the same issue here in the USA. We have 3rd, 4th and 5th generations of families on welfare and Government benefits who have done nothing to contribute to society. Never worked or made one useful contribution to society.
I firmly believe there should be regulations if you are getting government assistance. You must prove that you are actively seeking employment, submit to drug screens, show proof that the benefits you are receiving are being used in the manner they were intended, etc. Also you should be required to do labor for the state weekly. Such as highway cleanup and maintenance, work at a shelter or clean government buildings and offices.I understand there are handicapped people who cannot work and I am okay with that. Those people didn't ask for the hand they were dealt and most of them wish they could get out there and be a productive member of society.Its the useless, lazy, abusers of the system that piss me off.
Then again, if you have a job and a family and get behind and need help you can pretty much forget it.They don"t care about helping someone who wants to help themselves.Just the useless wastes of space and oxygen who want to suck the system and society dry.

Its time to get tough, if we want our countrys to rise up again instead of being dragged into financial melt down because so much of our resources is going towards paying for fat arseholes too lazy to do anything but sit around on their leather sofa watching their plasma screens on their fat arse, then we have to say look enough is enough. Inspectors should go round every house and come out with a detailed questionnaire about why you are claiming benefits and why you cant work, appraisals should be drawn up about how each person is living. Wood floors, leather sofas, big range cooker and 60'' TV?? Ok you got enough money not getting any more off us, thank you and # off.

Of course you will find people who genuinely need these benefits, the father who has been made redundant and struugles to find more work in a tight economy, fair enough. People who genuinely want to work but struggle because maybe they arent the brightest tool in the box deserve to get a pay out. Its those lazy #s who are happy just sucking the system dry and not even bothering to do anything who are killing this country.

it makes me sad that the uk is like this, im sure recycling and other jobs could be done, i dont beleve anyone is useless, i have had a few friends that cant get a job who are fully qualified in the proffession so its not always the case that those unemployed for months and months or years are being lazy, it does seem to be increadibly disheartening to them when the job centre and similar are unable to find them any work in there skillset.

however in saying that there are a lot of people who openly admit they dont work because its easier, they get alot of benefits, even with some girls trying to get pregnant to get a council house, surley we should have a much more regulated system where if you dont have a job after an amount of time say a year maybe two then you have to just do any job, no matter what it is, and keep it for at least 6 months before you can get benefits again.

the sad truth is without some drastic eugenics type sterilisation plan or somthing equally as horrible there will be a continious cycle of people living like this, i dont beleve everyone brought up in this scenario would end up like there parents, but enough for this to always be a problem, curiously what do you suggest as a fix for such a problem?

can we bring back national service? or at least if you dont have a job for 2 years you have to give back by doing two years in service? or if you have never contributed to national welfare you automatically after an amount of time have to do a predetermined amount of work in national service. thismight also break the mold of people who have neever seen anyone do a hard days work due to there parents or parents parents lifestyles?

Exactly, official receipts to show exactly where the government money is going should be brought in, Or maybe the government should issue each benefit reciever a debit card which the government could then monitor. £400 on a european cruise, really?? National service is a very good option, something I am a supporter of. Under the age of 25 and commit crimes? No you dont go to prison with your mates you go to boot camp. There was a program about American schools putting retired army sargeants/majors etc in as teachers and it works wonders apparently. Lets have some of that over here.

It's for the likes of these people that the original welfare system was introduced. Unfortunately it has been abused over the years and there are generations of families who have relied on state benefits to get by. I previously worked in a Jobcentre and I have seen this first hand. It was part of the reason for leaving to be honest. I saw a lot of genuine cases who were penalised because they had the foresight to put some savings away or had a small pension.

It sucks and it needs to be addressed asap.

However, what jobs are available? Construction has taken a battering, manufacturing is non existent and all we are left with is service industries. We are just re-cycling the money without actually generating additional income. This is down to the E.U unfortunately. France and Germany have made sure their industies have survived, whilst making the likes of the U.K become little more than a tourist attraction.

We need real jobs and decent wages in order for people to spend and get us out of this mess. Then when those who have chosen to rely on Benefits, still don't want to work, well sorry but hard luck, no work, no money.

Seriously now, S & F OP. If someone can work, then they should work, or make their benefits contingent on agreeing to attend training for a blue collar job. Benefits and assistance should be a hand up not a hand out.

If you're going to call for the castration of the uneducated in a society, you should probably make sure your post isn't full of spelling and grammatical errors.

Digby the OP did not mention anything about people on disability, he merely stated that if you are capable and you dont work because your lazy, unmotivated or whatever else then you shouldnt get benefits.

YEa that guy clearly hasnt read anything Ive written properly, instead just flew off the handle and made a rash post. The dole/benefits system is there to help people made redundant and to help people who are trying, but struggling. However as mentioned earlier it is also being ABUSED by the lazy under class society who dont want to work and would rather leach off the state, it is these people I am on about, not every single person who uses the benefit system, just the ones abusing it. You go on about people not working because of injuries etc, yes again there are plenty of genuine cases, but also there are plenty of none genuine cases where people cheat the benefit system by saying they are too ill to work when they are perfectly fine. And dont get me started on people who claim benefits saying they cant work because they are too FAT!!!?? Wtf is going on there?

These people clearly are not in positions to bring a child into the world and give him/her a good chance and good start at life. England is currently becoming over populated and we should start dealing with that by putting reversible castrations on these type of people among others. I am also a firm believer that people should need to get a license to have a kid.

If you want to re-home a dog from the RSPCA you get people coming inspecting your house, gardens and living standard, they then decide wether your suitable owner for the dog. Yet anyone anywhere any age can just bang out kids willy nilly??

Really? Is that what he said, or is that what you said? Because I missed that in his post.

I got: he's calling for the extermination of poor people, and has no interest in further educating himself, even though he makes references to the lack of education in others. People who are educated don't generally call for the extermination of an entire demographic. Wonder why that is? Give it some thought, OP. Could they know something you don't know? The amount of money lost though benefit fraud is £1.5 billion every year. Do you know how much money is lost through tax evasion? Estimates vary, but even by HMRC's figures it's more than £70 billion.
