Assuming it is just one person who thinks like this is idiotic.
Assuming that everyone thinks like this is even more idiotic.

Oh I see, so because we don't know that it is better to assume that she was.

I respect soldiers and the military, does that make me a fascist or you a liberal idiot if you despise people who are prepared to die for their country and freedom ?
That makes you an idiot, but the reason I asked was whether to see if I read you as a person correctly. I did.

I suspect the latter.
Don't open your mouth and run it, I have people in my family who have actually fought and given their lives against a US-supported invasion of Iran by Iraq. You like to pretend you all fight for freedom and that you are all tough soldiers, but has your nation been forced to teach students in elementary and high schools how to operate a weapon because an invasion and death was that imminent? How about trying to sleep through bombs being dropped around them? Have you pulled the corpses of two of your REAL brothers(none of that military brainwash bull#) from the rubble of your missile stricken shop? People that are close to me have, and I respect them a HELL OF A LOT more than some ignorant mercenary pretending he's tough shooting folks from helicopters, planes and whatnot - then to come back with PTSD and beating his wife, pissing his pants at night having nightmares of "insurgents". Grow up.

No, just stating the facts.
No you are not. You are using sensationalist arguments that most likely convinced yourself.

I thought you hated America - oh yeah, thats right - you just hate WHITE AMERICANS dont you.
I don't hate America, I don't hate white Americans. Stop putting words in my mouth. I've been to the US, it's a beautiful country and some Americans I met were some of the friendliest people around, a tad simple, but friendly non the less. Am I going to let you disturb their image because you happen to be American? # no!

Teacher is a pathetic excuse for one. And the kid who used the N word along with the kids who beat on him, ARE ALL WRONG and need a good scolding.
But hey, lets keep focusing on the things that make us all different, cause god forbid we lowly peasants actually work together and see who the real enemy is.

That's what I'm trying to tell you. It is a perpetual problem that is dividing the group of people that used to fight side by side for freedom. I understand what you are saying, it is wrong to be held accountable for what happened 150 years ago - but you're not going to escape it - because that would equal to attempting to outrun ignorance and I don't see that happening any time soon.

Did you guys honestly believe history wouldn't rear it's ugly head?
That you could mistreat and enslave an entire people because of their skin color without EVER facing repercussions?

A big problem with this world and what even POWERFUL elite are trying to find a way to conquer is karma and cycles.
We can't get away from it. Many people commit crimes or wrong doings against others and don't realize or want to accept that they will pay one day. Now when I say they will pay one day, maybe not them, but rather their descendents possibly.
I wonder if our Founding Fathers would have treated slaves the way they did if they considered their descendants would be the ones getting beat up in schools? Do any of you take into account that your actions may fall on your children?
I don't really lean on black slavery as much as some others because I know REAL history. I know that we Afrikans are being paid back for what WE did to the pale people from the Caucass mountains in a history that has been successfully hidden and erased.
In the same breath white people are being punished for what they did to blacks during American slavery.
Every perpetrator of violence...wants his/her victim to just forgive and forget. That's easier said than done and isn't how this plane of existance works right now. Every race is paying some other race back. Then that race is going to pay the other race back. It's a cycle that continues...
In this situation the teacher is dead wrong for sharing what that student said. She will be punished as the system see fit.

Just stop it before you embarrass yourself further. I don't live in Britain either. Nobody freed the Kurds from Saddam Hussein you twat. The Kurds people were used as a political tool shown to you on TV telling you how evil Saddam was - never mentioning who gave him the resources to commit his evil crimes. You never cared about any Kurds, just like you don't care about Afghans or Iraqis, you do not want to free them. Go educate yourself. FYI - this will be the last reply to you ever. You aptly demonstrated the level of intelligence you possess and honestly - I can't be bothered with a dumb person like yourself.

I don't care. Good for you.

The students that assaulted the other student should be expelled. The teacher who set up the attack should lose her job. She is not fit to be a teacher. It doesn't matter what color the skin of the individuals is. What matters is ... there was an assault. The teacher created a situation where the assault took place
Yes and this is very, very disturbing to say the least. School is supposed to be a place of education.

No but you should be giving it out of free will to the people who are troubled by the past. But since you won't you will have to carry the burden that people of the past left you. And this is not my opinion this is what is happening, go ahead, disagree with it as much as you want you will NEVER escape it. Understand you can't understand then move on to progress.

I live in one of the most racially charged cities in the U.S. This town is infested with hate, it breeds here. Everything from the middle school kids to those about to retire, the anger and segregation in this city is palpable. You can taste it.
I deal with racism every day, if it's not the people I work with, it's the people in my trade, if its not them, its on the streets. It's in the kids, parents, politicians, teachers, health care providers, insurance companies and especially city employees, mostly in Education and police forces.
"Ever since 1968 this town hasn't been the same" as quoted to me by a member of the National Guard during this time. The race card here is the only card that gets played that gets things done. Doesn't matter what the topic is as soon as the race card gets dropped there is nothing to be done, you have been effectively "Trumped".
What people call "reverse racism" I put up with every single day. It takes fortitude and stamina to not be a racist here. If you are white; this city is against you. If you are black; this city is at your beckon and call. It really is a notion of "black & white" and that my friends...is beyond sad. I hear the "N-word" all the time, used by both colors, it's a double standard, much as with a womens double standard when it comes to sex.
There have been times...hard times, when I wanted to give in, be a racist too, to yell and cuss those who have flagrantly been racist to me. Those times are a test to your civility, "the measure of a man" if you will. A defining moment in the path that you are to walk.
Why is that people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have any credibility in this country? They are two of the most racist, hate mongering individuals on the planet. There mission is to spew forth vile words and information, doing nothing but expanding the rift between blacks and whites. They get "ordained" so they can put "Reverend" before their name giving a sense of validity to there misguided followers and that they "speak not of falsities".
Racism is very strong where I'm from and until the people start seeing that it is a means to divide a nation, control the populace, and breed individuals that will not revolt against the government. I am afraid that the tides of hatred will forever pulse in the veins of our once great city.

I'm not blaming them or trying to blame them, I am saying they are being blamed and there is nothing you can do about it. Heck, it might not have even been your ancestors even, or your ancestors could have helped fight the oppression - but you will be blamed because there is a huge lack of understanding. And this lack of understanding will try to correct itself. You see that last part? That is what you are supposed to get from my post. Nothing else.

Seriously ATS? WTH!
This is a social situation for god's sake and it isn't the first time something like this has happened.
I thought rant was to rant about something that is pissing you off? This is an actual story! The teacher should be fired.
Please move this back.

I do understand your point. However, I still don't feel guilty about the sins committed by people in the past.
You don't need to or have to. Who said you had to?
That is why I posed the question; "How does it feel to be white these days?"
Because if you don't know how it feels to be discriminated against you because of the color of your skin, you will NEVER understand how big that chip really is. And for you to turn and say; "well 'they' need to do this first" is akin to ordering people to forgive and forget...how is this possible without a mutual foundation of understanding?
I can only be responsible for my actions. When you ask the question "How does if feel to be white today?" , I have to assume that was a racist comment. Does it feel any different today to people based on the color of their skin?
Suppose that whites are discriminated against because of their skin color as I understood the premise of the discussion in this thread. It then becomes a reflective question. One person got it. That person is not you.
FYI I did quote your post. What's wrong with you?
