Love, like life is a function of liberty. This liberty comes at the price of self restraint. For before we step on our neighbours toes we must
restrain that liberty of conscious action in the name of allowing our fellow citizens the same right as we have. This as well as responsibility, for
we must be responsible for the power of our actions, always remembering the other before ourselves.
As people make collective decisions the government expands to control the masses. For every law that is made does not surpass the liberty of the
human soul and every law that is made is begging to get broken, if it treads on our sovereign right to make decisions for ourselves.
The Tipping Point
Over the years society has been corrupted. Values and ethics have degraded, where once we predominantly valued our neighbour and supported our
communities, we now order pizza, use the I Phone, I Pad, I Tunes, IGoogle, MySpace, My Yahoo. Exactly the opposite of what a group of people should
do to be able to live together harmoniously by helping one another. We are being too focused on the self and not thinking of others.
In the past hard work and self reliance were important parts of character and a responsibility of liberty. Now we buy most of our food in a store and
not from area farmers, we collect government checks for various and sundry reasons, we squeeze what we can from the system because the system is
sucking us dry.
Slowly over time we have been changed of our own doing. Mind you the temptation was great and once enough people start doing something, there comes a
tipping point, or a change in group consciousness and it becomes widespread. I blame what the media has been used for, rather than what it should be
used for.
We Get What We Deserve
We all have a responsibility to act in the best interest of our neighbour so as not to extend your liberties where they would interfere with others
liberties. As the ethics and morals of society degrade so does it's government. As the moral fibre of a society falls so does the calibre of people
available to take office. Like begets like, people beget their governments.
