AIDS Cured For The First Time Ever

Eliminating the HI virus from ones body - curing HIV for the first time - should have been HUGE news everywhere, but I am hearing about this for the first time at ATS forums. Something wrong with this picture?

The reports about HIV are mostly about drugs, new drugs which sometimes work better than last generation drugs and sometimes they are a disaster, causing so much harm to your body. They really are not focusing on curing HIV. It is not simple, I know - it is such a clever virus, but it is entirely possible.

I am simply shocked why this never made the news.

Why are they not offering this treatment as an option to other HIV patients?

And please, v1rtu0s0, I suggest you change the topic to something like "HIV cured for the first time".

People have been able to get better from AIDS before, but never HIV, until now.
