Can all of us on here who believed in the supposed prediction of a quake in Rome now officially admit it was wrong people said to give the prediction a couple of days it's been 5.
So now this prediction is dead what's the next one to watch out for or is there still people who think the Rome quake will happen in the very near future I'm talking weeks which will still leave the prediction a tad credible.

Its not dead yet my friend......Thier has been small quakes here and thier, i believe that quakes however small can trigger the plates to move and cause destabalising effects on the region which could cause a catastrophic event.

personally i think its still going to happen but not for another few weeks to a month.

Rome was supposed to be destroyed by now. As far as ongoing quakes are concerned well they are always going to happen in earthquake zones (a huge DUH on that one for all the earthquake predictions!). By the way earthquakes don't trigger plate movements. Plate movement causes earthquakes (well the vast majority anyway). There are a few caused by volcanic eruptions.

This is sooo ridiculous. The prediction FAILED. Clinging to ongoing natural events as proof is cognitive dissonance taken to the extreme.

Erm so your telling me that a quake cant cause the plates to destabalise and cause more quakes. Its a fact that it can so Duh.

to add info.........volcano Etna which is italy just became active. Also the 5.1 EQ in spain a week ago was the strongest in 50 years according to MSM. Maybe the time frame was wrong but the prediction might still be right.

Would do the research my 3G connection at work very slow but has Rome had an earthquake before,if it has had many then what I'm getting at is any one can do a bit of research and take a guess as to when the next one would be.If however earthquakes are rare in Rome and one does hit a month or even two from the predicted date and it's as big as said to be then this prediction would still be credible.

Well a anything above 5+ magnitude in china is normal but in Rome it would alert your mind. and a 5.1 Hit rome only last week as above poster stated.....I always see 2 quakes when its a big one. A pre-quake normally above a 5 mag followed by the larger one from a few hours to 2 weeks later.

Yeah I watched super quake last night on discovery it mentioned the second wave of the quake is always the strongest.I'm still on the fence it's easy to say it's a load of rubbish these predictions from the past but when you do some research yourself and here the points people like yourself put across it becomes very hard to decide what I believe.I'm glad no quake has happened yet because I don't want people to die but It would be fascinating if some of these predictions did come true.

the more quake we have the better i know that sounds a bit disturbing, But as i see it its what we need to boost our awareness and response aswell as our predictions. It would save more lives in the long run.

Yeah I understand that is there not somewhere remote that has frequent quakes for our scientist to work there magic. The reason quakes are getting more deadly spec in well built up areas is all our digging away of earth for our tunnels building foundations etc weakens the ground there for making it easy for the quakes waves to penetrate without losing to much of it's strength.
