I am a huge groupie of science, and don't follow any religion, that said, I've seen spirits, take it or leave it, but I'm pretty sure I'm not bonkers.
If Stevo doesn't have a rational explanation for it, then so be it...the universe it as wonderfully chaotic in its nature as it is ordered......we can't define all the symmetries it has in this life time.

Um, wow.

You're not a HUGE groupie of science if you think you have seen spirits and can't explain it. Sorry its that simple.

There are no spirits - period.

So if you saw something you should try and understand what you saw, that would be science - simply putting it down to spirits is exactly how this crazy stuff gets out there.

Really? The closest thing in science to proof is testing. The more tests that something passes for being true, the truer it is. Nothing in the physical world is proven to be true with absolute authority. This is why normal things we take for truth are called theories. Evolution is a theory. Heliocentricism is a theory. Everything is a theory until disproven. It never becomes solid "truth". Even Newtons "laws" are just theories.

Why do I say all this? Because you cannot disprove "spirits". To say they do not exist is very unscientific. Contrary to popular belief, science normally believes in the possibility of something until if fails a test.

400 years ago, he would have been burnt at the stake for saying this.

However, 400 years ago, his brand of physics would have been looked upon as witchcraft, and he would have been burned at the stake anyways.

I'm glad religion is so tolerant. [\end sarcasm]

I'm a scientist myself. But I would never ever discuss the matter of the spiritual world so lightly. It tells his lack of the perspective of the universe. The unvierse can't just be all physical world just by looking at it around you.

One day perhaps, people will be able to solve the mathematical equation for the soul. What it is made of and how and why the souls behave the way they are etc etc. Because of too many independent variables, it may need massive super computers to compute it. The fundamental constraint in the equation will be called Karma.

How exciting project that would be?

But dismissing the existence of the world of spirit, to my humble opinion, is at most stupid.

Please get well soon.

2nd line.

I bet I can prove that you talk about stuff sometimes without researching it, do you want to know how?

I don't. Quite honestly i'm sick of both of you and your little trolling match. Any chance we can get back on topic?

Take it to u2u messaging maybe?

what makes this idiot an expert on whether there is a heaven or not. this guy is like all other so called genius'.

he may be an expert on one subject but a complete moron on everything else.

he should stick to what he is good at, like inflating his ego.

Well. I use Google like everybody else. If you had done that in the first place you would not have come up short on Pop Physics.

I think that folks don't realize that 'research' has changed. The research I do for different things requires different levels of intensity.

Really, me believing that Stephen Hawking is part of a machine with an agenda is just my opinion. So take it or leave it.

But yes you have intrigued me. Please expose my nefarious methods.

There are a few things that have always given me comfort, spiritually speaking, that I'd like to share.

First, as advanced a thinker as Mr. Hawking is, he is not generally adept at understanding the psyche, and for all their modern marvels and advancements, scientists have never, nor CAN ever allow for consciousness in their pretty formulas and theorems. I repeat: SCIENCE CANNOT FACTOR IN CONSCIOUSNESS.

Number two: Fibonacci's Sequence. 1+1=2 1+2=3 2+3=5 3+5=8 etc. If a series of boxes are made, to each of these dimensions, a perfect spiral runs through the center. This is a pattern repeated indefinitely in Nature (pine cones, galaxies, sea shells).
The very definition of Pattern is NON-RANDOM ORDER. Not random=planned.

Number Three: You have no synapses in your brain that could possibly understand ALL THAT IS. You are not designed to understand the true nature of all the universe, nor is it necessary to try. It is more important that you believe something, than what exactly it is you believe. It is a real testament to the universe that what we believe is what is real for US.

I find solace in the fact that NO ONE knows. The Mystery is pure joy. Anyone who knows all the answers hasn't heard all the questions.,,

Heaven is in physics, you just have to look! It's in a parallel/devoid universe. Try past the 11th or 12th dimension and this isn't new age sh!+ either. Believing in something saves us all from a mental breakdown. If I want to believe in a madman flying around in a blue box it's my business. Religion is what keeps us all divided if we're looking for heaven it should be like the lovely bones. God free, where no one is judged for there actions except the evil. For him to say that there is no heaven or hell is crazy, how the hell is he talking ? With a magical computer ? By the grace of god somebody gave some idiot the idea to create that computer. Whether aliens or god. Peace.

I like Steven hawking, I have his books.

but this is just utter rubbish.

how can he even postulate on something with so many unknowns.

I have experienced first hand the effects of the mind...without the need for physical body.

Its a shame Steven has not.

Sorry dude, but i just checked the thread highlighted in your signature, and I can not think of a reason anybody should take you seriously. If you are open to the idea of reptilian invaders....

I'm not trying to dog you, but you seem pretty hypocritical to discount believers of religion, while propagating baseless claims in the same online community.

To reiterate, believe what you want, but try to at least hold a consistent expectation of proof.

On topic, Steven Hawking may be right, but he may also be wrong. He has been before.

The spirit is hidden to you in plain sight.

But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Any certainty regarding "heaven" or "hell" is equally as arrogant as Hawkings assertion.

This is why we have "faith" for those who value it - but faith does not beget certainty except in the minds of those who have said faith.

The two sides are diametrically opposed, and a conflict such as this is impossible to resolve - the only thing people can do is agree to disagree, because neither side is ever really going to "convert" the other...

What the Bible calls familiar spirits, are Demons. The Fallen Angels what we would call aliens are Demons.

Not all aliens are demons. Those from the orion connection(greys and reptillians) definitely are. Also known as nephelim. Satan/Lucifer is their general!

The aliens from the federation of light are angels and part of the elohim. God is their general!

The same thing the Egyptians and Myans got their advanced knowledge and how to control the human mind by perverting the condition by opressing the spirit.

Those that sell their soul to the devil are gauranteed lots of earthly pleasures and rule over common-man?

Why is this? Maybe because satan and the nephelim have a superior reign on earth and this solar sytem?

The real trick is that we do not realize that the evil oppressed onto you is from an external source and not coming from your own mind which is what you would think.

Indeed that is the case. Psychology is a medical occupation and just like all medical occupations(including pharmacy) has the serpent emblem for a reason. If you suffer its because you are "sick in the mind" and "everything you think about is a fanatasy". Did you take your pills today?

I know because I had a first hand experience in knowing the truth.

The spirit is as a tree grows or the wind blows. Evil exists because pride, lust, greed, envy, rage, anger, hate and its all stemmed from ignorance or unbelief, that life subject to suffer this life for an inherent good. That you went against God, to justify your own ends unto the end.

Demonic possession is no joke and that is why we have exorcism. The official church does not deny exorcism but at the same time tries to distance itself from anything too controversial. I wonder why.........

What is that supposed to mean? Are you from India?

You need to be careful with the New Age stuff. Its made to seem appealing becasue alot of it has merit. A medium would say her familiar spirit is good when in reality she is being decieved. But demons are incredibly deceptive they are revealed by their actions they will always want something in return or for you do something you question, the only way to know truly is to ask them do they confess Jesus Christ came in the flesh.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

There are quite a few belivers here that will tell you of their experiences with demons, they love to play a good cop bad cop game to decieve you.

I don't know for certain whether there exists a heaven or hell or some type of oblivion (either good, bad or indifferent) and I'm not going to say I know for sure. I am not religious but I am spiritual.
What I do know is on occasion, I have seen and felt some very odd stuff (no aliens though) and I wasn't drunk, stoned or high and I'm not clairvoyant, clairaudient or schizophrenic.
I feel there is much more that we don't know about than what we do know about.
I feel that there is something out there (or a bunch of something), but I'll be double-danged if I know what it is, lol

Are you suggesting the soul has a physical mass? I thought the spirit operated in a non-material parallel dimension.

That's why we don't have passed on spirits physically disturbing the world.
