(This is just a prediction) I predict, that Bin LAden will be captured aorund election time... Probaly about 2 weeks before. Think about it, when Saddam was caught bush's ratings were up, and most polls show Bush and Kerry neck and neck perhaps Kerry up a tad after the DNC. I was just thinking wouldnt it be wierd if Bin Laden was captured two weeks before the election....HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Please tell me what you think.....

I think Bin Laden will not be caught after this election, but rather, after the next one. Within a year after the next one. By someone other than the U.S. That country will behead him.

I think Bin Laden is already "technically" caught... There are some signs that point to him and his men being boxed in somewhere in the mountains of Afghanistan. The troops doing the boxing in, likely don't even know what or who they are "containing" or why they are waiting to go in...

I suspect we'll see it happen before the election, but more than 2 weeks before, that would be too obvious... I'm going to say sometime in September, especially near the 11th...
just for irony's sake...

Does anyone really think that Bin Laden will be taken alive?

From articles I've read, he's surrounded by a core group of people that are willing to die for him, and he'd probably kill himself before going into US custody.

I find it quite amusing this idea that OBL is in the Afgan mountains... How do you think he can run a war from a remote mountain cave? During the Soviet/Afgan war, most of the Muhajadeen camps were between 2 and 3 days travel from each other, lines of communication were pretty pants, to say the least... It's unrealistic to think that he'd be using sat phones/ other high tech comms devices due to the sat tracking available to the military. What IS more likely, and I hope I'm not the first person here to state it, is that such as they were allied during the 80's campaign, Pakistan is still aligned with these "persons" now; Following the Great Tradition of Terrorists (sorry folks but the IRA were blowing up innocents for quite a while now) OBL is now surrounding himself with "non-combatants"...

I tens to agree Gazrok. This would also make sense as to why the messenger from Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was trying to get to the mountains of Afganistan when the messenger was caught

A lot of lefties seem to actually want this to happen
so they can point to G.W. and say that he had UBL
the whole time. Some even go so far as to say that
we already have him and will release the 'news' of
his capture at election time.

UBL is either dead or seriously wounded. He hasn't
made a video tape in a very long time. As Commander
in Chief of his murderous cult, he would make a
video if he could ... to get his troops worked up and
to increase enlistments. IF he is alive, he has
taken the cowards way and surrounded himself
with civilians. Probably shaved his beard and head
too. Changed his appearance.

But I think he's dead.

i'm not so sure...i think that if bin laden gets caught before the election, that bush would have no purpose in the eyes of the people.

but, if he gets elected, then i expect to see bin laden caught not very long after.

Yeah, I take your point, but remember that there's a big difference in these guys and how they live (or lived in Saddam's case) their lives.

Saddam had spent decades living off his country's oil money in lavish palaces, surrounded by government thugs. When his government collapsed, he had no more thugs and his basic support infrastructure was gone.

Contrast this to UBL, who's been living for years in the Afghan terrain, surrounded by the same core group of bodyguards. Plus, UBL is a religious fanatic who probably really believes in the 72 virgins if he achieves martyrdom. I get the impression that Saddam was basically agnostic, and probably is very afraid to die.

I agree with Gazrok. Also, if UBL is working with GWB then it doesn't matter where he is based or which force he is surrounded by for protection or how he lived his life.

Nice prediction, but I think it is unlikely that Osama will be caught in its proper term. The U.S Government knows where he is in my opinion. After all I have read on Osama's relationships with the Bush family, and also Osama being a past CIA agent, I can only come to the conclusion that he will be allowed to live his life free from any U.S Government intrusion.

I think in G. W. Bush's eyes, Osama as the enemy, is just for the people who don't understand the true relationships that are working behind the scenes. I think it is G. W. Bush's prime agenda to somewhat keep the illusion that Osama is still out there and that he will be caught sometime, but he is allowed to roam free in the Middle East.
