i think this shows that anything is possible, and also sad to read that the mother would have most likely been persecuted even by her own family.

imagine this type of phenomena hapening more often, that will keep the scientists busy for a while lol

This is just tabloid fodder, using a headline like "white baby" (implying a Caucasian in common parlance) is just to sell papers.

there is instances where the kids are not albino. somewhere in thier line is white dna, wether they want to admit it or not.

All Black babies are white with blue eyes when they are born, albeit not with blonde hair. It takes a few hours for the melanin to settle in.

yeah. i'd get a dna test for sure, but i have to say, he does look like his parents. he is very pale for having even one black parent. the article says he isn't albino, but i'm not sure how they checked for that. i assume a dna test would reveal if he was albino or not.

on another note, it is curious that blue eyes are still around. brown being dominate over everything else, they should have disappeared awhile ago. we don't know everything about genetics.

I cracked up when she started talking about people would be thinking they done stole a white baby. That baby got them paranoid. They're gonna be trying to feed him mayonnaise and stuff when he won't stop crying. Trying to dress him in loafers at school to make him happy.

Apparently, it is possible for two white people to have a black baby, so it should be possible the other way too....it depends on if you have other races in your background....here's what a geneticist says...www.thetech.org...

i've seen other black albinos with some color... yellow hair and all. i think it can vary. that's what i thought anyway... maybe i'll it up.

"normally" if the mother is the black one the kid is more darker. If mother is white, the child is lighter. Not always, but useally.

Its 99% most likely an albino as they always seem to be in these cases but if not then its either due to an affair or a very rare genetic quirk.

yeah, the mamas pretty black so if this isn't a quirk he looks too white to be her child with a white man. he looks albino to me.

yeah, wikipedia says there are albinoids.... he could be that cause there are different things that cause it and it could vary.

I have to admit that the child does look like an albino, but I wouldn't say that for sure.

If you think about it, though, mutations such as this would have no doubt happened over the last 10s of thousand of years - if you subscribe to the Out of Africa theory. Maybe not as drastic as this example that purportedly took place, but different races did eventually get paler to varying degrees.
