I have not heard he has an apartment in Manhattan. He will rent an apartment until the trial.

Soon, we will probably know who owns the apartment he is renting or how it was found. He's not that rich, his wife IS. She was born and raised in the US. She has money and probably connections.

It would appear that Nafissatou Dialo (that can't be her real name.....) used her room key card to enter the suite for the purposes of preparing it for the next occupant. Its probably not uncommon for guests to sleep in late so there is probably a protocol for shooing them out so she could get her work done. Maybe Strauss kahn was on something like Viagra (they say Viagra makes you deaf). The defense is going to have a hard time convincing the jury that this was all a misunderstanding.

No, he was not thrown out and there is no hidden protocol to make the best guests in the best suite leave. That wouldn't be the maids job anyway.

The last story is that when the maid arrived, the door was open, an employee of the room service was in the room cleaning up after the breakfast. She asked if she could start cleaning, the other employee answered that yes, the guest was gone.

That's the genius of the set-up. This woman is not insisting that charges are pressed. She hasn't come out and said anything. They said she was quite and shy. Everyone should back off her. I don't know what is true and what isn't when I read articles about so and so said this and that, but if she is in asalym here (from my understanding basically a refugee from her country and our govt helps?) then she's probably had a pretty traumatic life. Now this happens she doesn't need eyes on her. I could be totally wrong, this could be a woman with an agenda out to make some money, however, I don't see it that way. I have the craziest things happen to me, It all depends on circumstances. Thats why when two people are in a relationship you hear not to assume you really know whats going on behind closed doors... I have not 'gone after' this woman. I have investigated several contradictory aspects of the story and not ruled out any possible motives.

I think it's great that you believe the official story (in all it's glorious contradictions), but I am still waiting to see what the truth is. And I doubt it is as the MSM says.

& to address the reason as to DSK did what he did: I am 23 yr old female & I have encountered a lot of creepy old men in my life. I also worked in a strip club as a waitress for 2 weeks back when I was young and believe me the scariest most aggressive guys (with other girls.. not me) were professionals, usually big CEO execs. or bosses of companies. Have you guys ever heard of "Bossman Syndrome"? you know when you see a guy who is a owner/boss of a company but he takes his boss ways home with him.. and to the restaurant.. or even to his daughters school. DSK could of very well had a touch of that in the position he is in.

Im just reporting what I heard from ABC news.

They say 2 women from his past are now surfacing with news about his sexual advances.

They say the maid was in shock and in nausea.

They say his extremely wealthy wife paid for his bail and bond and also his current living circumstances in NY.

They also pulled a quote from his wife that she said in the past about accepting his 'seductions' and that being seductive is part of politics.

Anderson Cooper talked to defense attorney Mark Geragos and Eliot Spitzer Friday night about the DSK case.

According to Geragos, virtually every case that comes before the grand jury is indicted. He referred to it as a rubber stamp. That's useful information because when I read he had been indicted I began to wonder if perhaps there was a strong case against him.

Geragos also noted that the many inconsistent details that have emerged may have been leaked by the prosecution, specifically the police in this case. That makes sense given that the police initially claimed that he was in a hurry to leave New York. More recently, they apparently claimed that he didn't question why he was being arrested, suggesting he knew the reason. Given that he previously stated he was likely to be set up, he probably wasn't all that surprised by the arrest.

i suspect he may have been guilty of soemthing. But i also suspect that the police were giving such speculative comments regarding his guilt to the press so the case will be dismissed. And since the point was to remove him from head of the IMF (which has happened), whether he is convicted is irrelevant.

Sarkozy is happy, too, i'm sure. Although if the case gets dismissed, DSK may still be able o win in France (it might actually HELP him).

I find this book to be off interest in that it speaks to the psychology of the defenders of rapists.

In this case no one is defending a rapist.

He is innocent until proven guilty.

The real conspiracy angle here is probably the timing of the 'Arnold's love child' story.

Somebody must have been sitting on that one for the right moment, and then they busted it out to take attention away form the scrutiny on the socialist DSK.

Wake up from the court room tv show BS for a moment and come back to reality.

So a rapist is not a rapist when they rape somebody, they later become a rapist when a court of law agrees that they raped somebody?

Do defense attorneys only defend rapists if they lose their case? Can they win their case and still have been defending a rapist? Can truly guilty people get away with crimes? Can truly innocent people be convicted?

A court of law is not life. Life is not a court of law.

He is LEGALLY innocent in a court of law until proven LEGALLY guilty.

Whether or not he is legally found guilty does not correlate 100% with whether or not he actually raped somebody.

In life, he is a rapist if and when he raped somebody, no matter whether any court of law agrees or not.

Similarly, in life, he is not a rapist if he did not rape anybody no matter what any court of law ever says about it.

Thus, if he is truly innocent, then nobody in this thread who is defending him is defending a rapist.

Thus, if he is truly guilty, then EVERYONE in this thread who is defending him is defending a rapist.

How do I feel about it?

This guy will get very close to having the best possible legal defense team on the planet earth.

His team are already manipulating the media more than anybody. In fact, they are being paid lots and lots of money already to do that as part of his defense. Unless some other person or faction is spending money to do this sort of thing for their own agenda(and what evidence of that is there?), then it's most likely that his team is by far the largest and most active on the game board.

We are already seeing many common tactics which academics have long been aware of, for example as posted in a link a few posts up by Aeons.

Everyone ought to know that rich and powerful assholes/sociopaths do do this sort of thing...'you are nothing, nobody will believe you.'

That is also why other women wait to come forward until somebody else has taken the first step. The first step is the scariest because the fear is that help and attention will never arrive.

When there is media attention, there is the presumption of safety and protection, that he can't use his power and money and influence to crush somebody who is already in the public eye.

Or...just watch a few episodes of "Cheaters" if you don't believe that there are lots and lots and lots of people who are capable of keeping up a facade of innocence and who will just lie lie lie lie lie and never drop the facade no matter how busted they are. There is a very ordinary and common sort of narcissism you see a lot when you watch liars in action.
