Does anyone here actually write music?

Aside from me that is. I wonder because there seems to be a whole lot of discussion about it.

I haven't done anything recently, but I was a bit of a techno/house boffin back in the day. About errrm 14 years ago!! (blimey has it been that long?!)

I dabble a bit I guess, but nothing serious now.

That's too bad. I am just getting serious about mine after about 11 years of writing although I am finding it hard to get people to give me some concrete criticism on it.

My music link has been in my sig for a while now, and I know people go to it. No one says anything.

After all the time I spend writing it, paying and setting up the website and all.

AAARRRGGG.

Some of the poems i write(which are on ATS) will probably be turned into songs For my band.

I totally stink when it comes to writing lyrics. I�m a bassplayer myself.
I write some music now and then, but only instrumentals.
I have some fun on the computer with the echomachine, midi and waves.
Mostly inspired by Tom Waits, The Residents and Snakefinger.

I write music. I am always hunting for a good vocalist/lyricist.

Every once and a while I'll write song lyrics. I can't write the actual music for it, unless its piano. I think I'm pretty good at writing, them. I like to go for the more mythical and metaphorical lyrics.

Does freestylin count, yo.... um.. dogg.

im creating a track of mine that has
a theta brainwave pulse that is layerd through the song.

verry intresting stuff

when its finneshed it should put u in a trance like state

the track will be called "down time"
and will post it when ive finnished it.

Yes, I spend many an hour practising with my band / writing songs by myself on my guitar. I like composing poetry and turning it into music too. I wish I had the equipment to create music on the computer. My band have a CD, but I have no place to upload the Mp3(s) too. *Sigh*

what about an ATS musician member upload space?
think the ATS people would go for it?
maybe a pay thing for the serious?

the writers have their collaborative fiction area.

Very interesting idea. It would take quite of bit of space though. I would love to have a place to put my songs for all ATS to hear, that would be great

A few years back when i was in a band a wrote alot of stuff... (when i say wrote i composed it, i dont think i ever actually noted anything down)... nowadays i'll jam a riff together ehre and there but nothing that would constitute a full song.
