One time my grandma told me that ETs generally have group minds, that unlike humans, they do not have highly individual natures and personalities. However, I find that hard to believe. What do you think/know about this?

I suppose we'll have to wait and meet a few before we know.

But if they're anything like illegal aliens, your granny was spot on!

I guess it depends on the race.Assuming that every race has developed a different civilazation and different capabilities, there might be one out there that could have the collective mind your grandma told you.

BTW how does your grandma know.I'm really interested to know.

I think it's an interesting idea.

Take a look at the ants. When you go deeper you wonder if each ant is truly an individual or replaceable parts of a bigger organism: the colony.

I think, that if we´re talking about ET´s as all sentient beings living on other planets, maybe in many dimentions, then we can´t say, that ET´s are like this or that. Even all humans are different, so there must be countless possibilities, individuals and not individuals in the Universe. People shouldn´t think about ET`s in so simplified way.

Could be possible. Perhaps some sort of evolved ant like creatures?..

Insects with colonies pretty much have a group mind, only they communicate via chemical signals and alike.

Edit: Above the trees already mentioned the ole ants.

They are, undoubtedly. You are an individual, correct? Psychics and mind readers are individuals, correct? Humans, also, have a group consciousness, the same as the aliens. We are all manifestations of the Consciousness. This means nothing more or less than that God is within all of us. If you kill a man, you kill God. If you kill an alien, you kill God. If you help a man, you help God. If you help an alien, you help God. We are all one, but we are all simultaneously individuals.

Peace,
SeraphNB

Not only is that an "interesting idea," it is also one too horrible for humans, especially Americans, to think about. And such a difference between them and humans may well be the reason why we won't have direct contact, or at least vacations, to their home planets anytime near soon.

I won't get into it here, but EVERY sign of the NWO clearly is indicative that we are being herded into that direction. Socialism, communism, hive cultures, group think, etc. all have one thing in common and that is the preservation of the group over the individual. Humans are social, but not THAT social. That is a hard hit for many humans to even fit their heads around. America is supposedly built upon the premise of individual freedoms (!). Not that is the real situation, but the preceived one at least, an ideal only perhaps, so that is why such a realism will effect us more than most countries and even right down to the individual psyche.

Mix us with civilizations that have learned to survive a growth into extreme longivities and we can see the handwriting on the wall. --"CHANGE OR DIE (by your own individual hands)."

Toss into that the alien concept that this living, breathing globe is more important than our presence upon it, and you can come to understand that we count little in the grand scheme of things that we must assume that all of the advanced ETs have figured out long ago...and encompassed...or disappeared.

Welcome to the future. You may not like it.

The group mind idea only means that the greys are AI, highly intelligent droids, but can be worn as suits in interacted through by individuals.

All souls and all Ets that are consciousness are individuals.

Whether we know it or not, we humans have a hive-mind like way of doing things. We have the Queen at the top ( Government ), then all the jobs that need to be done in order to have a functioning society.

Like ants, we make war, use chemicals, do engineering, have slaves, develop technologies, do agriculture, have cattle, have individuals that sacrifice themselves for the good of the whole, communicate with sounds, odors ( pheromones ), with touch and visuals...

We "accept" that some are of a higher breeding. ( Monarchies, Stars, the "Elites" )

We naturally recognize some as being superior, and we call them talented or geniuses.

I think the hive-mind is a constant in all species. Even those species we think of as loners. They also have "laws" to observe in order to live and reproduce. They are just separated by a physical distance. Yet, they leave trace of themselves to inform others.

It is just more apparent in some species than others.

Your Grandmother sounds very interesting! I am curious as to how she knows that ET'S have a collective mind set. (Or some ET'S) Did she ever talk to you at length about this knowledge?

not at length no, ill have to bring it up again, sometimes she tells me things and then tells me something else years later. it's not because she's lying, i think her experiences are just difficult to accurately put in words.

Well, I have to say there are plenty of humans who cannot think for themselves and tend to follow others in groups. There are plenty of examples where people act like sheep and the main two are religion and race supremacy closely followed by UFO skeptics.

Maybe..its because something is blocking her memories of this and she is only receiving bits a pieces of the information and it gets intertwined. Not saying she was an abductee, maybe something much more complex than that. Have you ever thought of something odd and wondered what made you think that?

In order to do so and turn Humanity into a big colony (where human individuals are removable and exchangeable) they should first destroy our souls. I understand media, movies, fashion, mass culture, etc could be arms of that movement. I regularly share with you a sadness (ethical kind) for the future World.

i dont know about this, groups minds have not really occured outside of insects. its not entirly efficiant though, if the thought is given to do something dangerous the whole group does it, single thought though there could be some individuals that wont go along with it and the group should still have some members

Well I do think the Sirians have their own agenda, though it seems primarily positive to me. So yeah that could be it.
