I chalk that up to ignorance about the topic and religion being discussed. I think people would be surprised to learn about the punishments the bible calls for for breaking certain rules.

Who can say? There are criminals who are sorry for what they have done. They usually go on to work to prevent crime. If they had received this kind of "justice," they would not have had the opportunity to warn others (usually kids) against a life of crime.

Are you new here? The liberals don't even want us to have guns to defend ourseleves against the criminals that do. I could never see them letting that idea fly.

But yeah...you were brave enough to say what I was already thinking

You do realize that most if not all prisons are "colleges" in advanced criminal degrees, right? So, then, what is the option?

Yeah, they often are. A better option would be to separate criminals. Putting a kid convicted of pot possession in with murderers is unbelievably stupid. In fact, don't even imprison people for pot crimes.

Yes, at LEAST as cruel as Sharia Law. Though even rabbis have never taken the suggestions seriously.

sure its crude, but you can't say he doesn't deserve it.

Yeah if you believe in revenge as the ideal of justice, it's totally understandable.

You wouldn't do something to somebody else, if you did not want it done to you... would you?

It's called discipline.

Yeah they would...they'd be blind but they can still talk. A guy telling me "don't be a dumb # like me and put acid in a young lady's eyes or you'll get the same back" offers me sound advice from somene with a lot of credibilty.

i think it was singapore and cars.

lucky it was only a canning!

they have some serious death penalty laws.

anyway,

i'm all for the acid in the eye for that chump, maybe it'll set a precedent

for other acid attacks in the arab world. it goes way under punished.

closure? how is getting 25-life for rape/murder of your 7yo, closure?

plea bargains, insanity defense, technicalities, "if the gloves don't fit..."

that's why some of us agree with that part of shria.

Yeah isn't it funny a lot of people who hate everything about Islam actually agree with their punishment system?

Islam has it's good points...the 72 Virgins thing was a near selling point for me.
