Absolutely, I rarely get them anymore but when I do I know what to expect and realize it'll pass. It's almost like a force of will or battle of wills would be a better way of putting. I don't blame people that get them and freak out like there's a negative entity sucking your life energy. It feels like they are sucking out your energy while you sleep, you stumble awake and they are like "oh shi-" and start hitting you with vibrations or something. It's comical to me now, and I can't say if it's a dream or not (probably is), but when you experience it you'll know what I am talking about. And if it's your first time, you think you are going to die.
