Here's a new article from Weather.com. There's ALOT of interesting facts. Exhausting year of US disasters

Here's an article about the state of the Hurricane season. To me, it looks like it's going to be a doozy.
state of 2011 atlantic hurricane season
There's a good graph that I'll summarize here for those too lazy to click on links

/ 2011 Season to date / Average since 1966 / 2010
named storms / 12 / 5 / 7
hurricanes / 2 / 2 / 3
major hurricanes / 1 / 0 / 2

The rest of the article discusses some other interesting aspects of hurricanes, and how a late start to hurricane season doesn't have a correlation with how severe the season is. And also that it's not the number of hurricanes that determines a bad season, but rather how severe the hurricanes are or how much damage they cause.

It's the year before 2012. It'll be good to have a record of the important events leading up to 2012.
Again, this thread is intended to document events leading up to 2012, and to keep things in perspective.
Feel free to compare events that happen in the past; that does help keep things in perspective.
I'll just be adding brief summaries. If anyone wants to add details, or events I miss, I'd appreciate that. But please don't deny that events have happened because I used wording you don't agree with, instead fill in the details. I'm not trying to "misrepresent" anything, but rather give a brief synopsis.

And let's all stay on topic from now on.
Thanks.

What did you say? I missed it. Was it important? Could you recap for us?
Thanks,

oooops...

a well defended thread chaps, good work.

sterio I think it's time you admitted that things are not right on this planet... just man up and admit you are wrong. Im sick of you trying to derail threads, it's good to see that the evidence is finally coming to light and trolls like you dont have a leg to stand on

And on topic I don't think there is any denying what is going on here, none

Why should I tell a lie and say that things are not right on this planet when the evidence is strongly against that position.

Have you considered trying to defend the claim with some evidence? Where is any evidence at all that quakes are increasing or volcanoes are increasing or anything is changing as you suggest?

this thread is full of such information.

why don't you show us info to back up your argument?

is it because you cant? Im sure you will come back with some "it's your job to do that" sh!t - but it's not sterio, it's yours, the thread is full of info.

MAN UP

Where is there any evidence at all that things are not normal. The only so-called info in this thread are poorly done, incomplete laundry lists with no suggestion as to what they mean.

Can you show anything out of the ordinary here? Can you show anything at all about these lists that is meaningful?

You are the one saying there is and I say I see nothing. Why don't you show me something?

So buck up and show me wrong.

warm winter so far, at least where I'm from. It's only snowed once here(and it was for a short time and didn't stick), and usually there's been several snow storms by this time of year.
Actually it rained today! Very very bizarre.
I was talking to an acquaintance on Sunday about the warm weather we've been having and he called it, "Unbelievable."
It's not just me who's noticing the very out of the ordinary weather we've been having.
