Strange 400 ft wide Metallic Domes buried in the desert (pics)

I was on flight over the Middle East a few months back and went over a massive complex with these bizzare dome structures. They were each in their own 'lot' as it were, I counted 7 in all. I couldn't take any pics at the time but managed to find the area on Google Maps and clipped a few pics from that. Any ideas on what on earth they could be ?????

My first guess is they are underground bunkers of sorts

Which country were these and I'll go do research.....

At a guess some kind of underground research complex? but why the need for metalic circle shapes in the desert? can you provide the google earth coordinates so we can see where these are in relation to everything else please?

Or Nuke Silo's?

Wow,,That is interesting. Looks like the road comes in then circles around. No other cars either..hmmm

are roads that either have been...

covered up with sand... or blurred out...

Each road coming off the "dome"
is pointed towards a grid...
Also the location is next to a grid line...



There appears to be a yellow line... indicating a road in the top right of the pic in the OP

I have no idea what they're really for though.

Coords please? Look it up in Google earth, turn on Community tags, and see what other people have to say, somebody might have already tagged them.

Actually if you look at the middle pic compared to the bottom, it appears there is some sort of van or truck leaving an open garage door at about the "2 o'clock" position of the building where the little white outcropping is.

Very interesting. My very non-expert opinion is it looks like bunkers to me!? Wonder if it is an end o' the world bunker complex for the rich folks in the middle east?

These are well known about. They are entrance hatches to the giant space ship that is buried under the sand.

But maybe.....

Very odd to say the least, I don't have any idea how to figure out what they are, but I hope someone gets to the bottom of this.

That is cool. Some one should try to find this on Google Earth, see if it's there or if they've blurred it out. Seems to be an entrance to an underground base. They certainly look very sophisticated.

EDIT: Oh right, these are from Google Earth. I thought you had taken these from the plane.

can you give us some co-ordinates so we can locate them as well please.

They do look kinda blurred out in the second picture, and if you noticed, in the first pic, the upper right area and the lower right area separated by the central 'line' looks kinda the same, like they were copied/cloned or something.

Looking at the last picture ...

I'm thinking those are vehicle lift elevators.
From my time in architecture, I don't see
any indication that parking is intended
around the top. And it looks like
vehicles should drive inside.

The central roof casts a single/two story shadow,
but has a raised square in the middle like an elevator house.

The surface texture of the surrounding round part is also very interesting.
Looks almost like solar panels. To go way out on a limb, perhaps this is for
tanker trucks that go down and fill up water from rivers deep underneath the desert.

2012 bunkers so could be as the dessert would be the last place you'd expect mass flooding.Why can't you see no marks in the sand that would be evidence of a building site.

yeah i was thinking they might be water storage tanks with integrated pumping stations on top for irrigation, that would explain the grid structures, maybe it was abandoned when it didn't work as they wanted.. but until we locate it on the map and can do more research its a bit hard, all just speculation.

No, I don't think so. There's no reason to design roads in a grid shape. It's highly inefficient.

I think there are underground roads connected to those bases, but they aren't visible.

EDIT: However, it is odd how they all seem to connect to the grid lines. Good point.

Could you tell us more about your flight ... was it commercial, private or military ? ... heading where to where ? ...

I doubt any super secretive military stuff would be aligned with civilian flight paths.
