The Best Damn E.T. Movie, EVER !

I remember being enchanted by this film as a young kid. There are alot of social undertones in regards to the way society approachs these types of incidences. Has anyone ever seen this and how did it effecte the way you viewed extraterrestrial topics while growing up ?

Yeah, I saw Flight of the Navigator.
It isn't any of the better movies.. that's for sure. :-)

I prefer Close Encounters of the Third Kind

One of my favorites as a kid. I have seen this movie more than 50 times and it never gets old. The special effects were pretty good for their day too.

I don't think I have ever even heard of this, but a quick search showed me that there is a remake coming out this year. Well, at least I think it is coming out this year. As you can see, not much detail on this particular site.

Yet another remake, this time of a 1986 Disney movie that didn’t even do particularly well at the box office. It only made $17 million back then, but went on to become a cult hit on VHS.

Today the movie is fondly remembered by those who saw it as kids back then.

Wild Hogs writer Brad Copeland is writing the screenplay and John Hyde who executive produced the original movie will do so again for this remake.

Talking about some old SciFi movies, that is coming back as a remake...

The Day of the Triffids is coming back in 2012.

That is just wrong. In more ways than one. I will agree, that the first example used, was visible.

However, all of the following examples, looked alot like an animated strawman to me. Even after pointing it out, and showing it 3 times, it is still a stretch to see or hear what is being claimed. Nothing personal, but I give your post and that video a BIG FAIL.

When I read they were redoing one of my favorite childhood movies I was pissed.

I have signed all petitions, not that it will do anything in the long run but still. There is no need to re-do this movie, none! It was perfect the first time. What do they want to do now make it look all fancy?! I think the craft in the original is pretty bad ass for the 80s. The actual ship is on the backlot at Disney here in Orlando. It's actually sad to look at it now all dirty and dusty just sitting in the prop junk yard basically.

I believe that District 9 contains all that you will ever need to know about Prawns.

Jackson > Spielberg every day!
