This is utterly amazing!!!

Gary Chang, an architect, designed his 344 square foot apartment in Hong Kong to be able to change into 24 different designs, all by just sliding panels and walls.

Link to the story.

I would love a place like this. Imagine the space this brilliant design can save.

Yea, I saw this one wimp.com today too. Though I swear I saw it on wimp a year ago as well. Maybe on another site, but this was the second time I've seen it. Pretty cool non the less.

They didn't show us the toilet.

I wonder if it doubles as the kitchen sink

But seriously a smart way of using existing track systems designed for file storage. But unfortunately it will not take off unless automated. Most city dwellers are far too lazy to move anything let alone a wall.

Wow. that was cool. It all looks nice too. Maybe one day he will make the walls on a remote control. Now that would be fun, push a button on a remote control and the walls move. Good for him.

Great idea! The track system is genius!! I've seen similar ideas of moving walls to separate rooms, but never the moving walls serving a purpose too.

Definatly would not sell in America, they need 2000 square meter homes, 1 runway and 5 hangers.

Because nobody can live on less.

Amazing design really, but the cost is possibly more than an average apartment obviously due to design and the labor behind it.

Other than that, its the perfect bunker ideal.

I want sliding walls.

With the size of my apartment I could have a whole mansion!
And I have a small apartment, but not as small as his.

Very cool OP!
