Same can be said of the "suns" in the tradition...

The focus of the age also seems to change, from pure abstract power to pure material power, truth is only the ones within the illusion of "total power" dare to express absolutes, when nothing really "is" anything at all.

great comments from everyone!
and from very different angles

This Aztec version reminds me of the Hopi tradition, "The Book of the Hopi."

Yes, there are some very sharp minds on this thread -- very interesting reading.

I was struck by a very strange thought this morning. Been rolling it about in the old bean, thought it just might have some merit.

Allow me to compare the noosphere to a human brain. The denser and more prolific our dendrites, the greater the number of neural nodes, the richer and more complex the connections formed between those nodes, the better for the brain's propensity to understand and generate ideas. Our nodes number in the billions, were they less, we would find our ability to think proportionally diminished.

What if we transfer that model to mass consciousness? Never before in the history of our species have we had both billions of potential nodes, and the technological means for each node to communicate with others en masse. Simply put, our noosphere may be primed to boot up to full capacity at this very special moment in time.

Upside to the population explosion? Maybe. I'm not sold on the idea, but think it's certainly worth examining.

I think you're on to something, Mistermonculous. The analogy makes sense to me.

It is the same thing, all of them in essence speak of the same things, the AGE changed, something happened, we changed and remained the same, oceans thawed, water covered vast lands, mankind had to move from its comfort zone to the next, the Noosphere only mutated, or developed new ticks, who knows, but hey, even the isolated independent towns have tiny Noospheres that connect to the main one shared by all humanity, strange stuff!

State the time, its marginally better either past midnight or before noon, I like the night better because my fellow humans are sleeping and their "hold" on "static reality" is less pronounced, there are less distractions, over all everything is silent and the vibe can be transferred with less possible intro missions or noisy neighbors poking in.
before noon the energies are "younger" less "serious" than at night when the vibe is more "mature" and "focused".

Obviously the place and the intent are everything, never in a cemetery while covered in goats blood please (unless that is someones kink), but in a comfy room with low ambient light, some incense, after a relaxing massage from a loved one or charging it in tandem while focusing on positive growth is more than encouraged.

Lets make some experiments, lets put those energies and that "knowledge" to the test, what do we have to loose my friends?

I´m willing for real change into the positive, I´m willing for harmony and strength in friendship!
lets do it, how about next sunday?

It would also work well and show the commitment of the wills involved if we all made a general tracing and completed our sigils with elements of others sigils, what I mean is I make a circle for instance, then TW makes a triangle, I would now implement that shape in my personal sigil, and TW the circle, that way we are really making a collective effort and its effects forged by all, of course the final personal sigil would be secret never to be shown to anyone.

I propose the intent of the work be clarity, understanding or love, just one so it can be focused on much more clearly.

What do you think?

Excellent plan of action. Next Sunday it is. We must account for time zones. I would be quite willing over here on the east coast to commence at 4am.

As far as I'm concerned, with jet packs and a cure for AIDS, we're already seeing results.

thats the "scary" awe inspiring stuff, Ask and ye shall receive, hard work pays off!

i´m currently existing at central time or CST or UTC−6.

lets make those sigils! and change this pit into something else entirely!

After all, If they do it why cant we?
The mystery equalizes, we are all the same, we can attune to the same forces "out" there, in "here".

Hi everybody. Well I am all caught up on my Yugas. It has always been my opinion that which Yuga we are in is pretty easy to figure out once you see the stuff diagrammed. I was wrong I suppose. Looks like we are indeed in the Dwapara Yuga. But it sure seems like we are trailing a lot of detritus from the Kali Yuga. Maybe that is why things are the way they are. Maybe we are transitioning. Anyhow, I suppose I need to do some dusting and cleaning in my own Medieval cabinetry.

I am down for Sunday. I am on the Pacific Coast.

Has anyone got any actul experience with Spare's Death Posture? Just curious. I was always afraid of falling on my face ( I will just come out and admit that I indeed did fall on my face, which seems to be the point of the whole thing). Somehow I think that Spare meant it to work like that.

I have no ideas here. Can I do anything?

Oh and what's a Yuga?

Can I learn the secrets of the universe in three months?

Perhaps make a song? Or a poem? Incorporating the wishes?

And then play it or read it aloud @ 2am Sun. morning (unless I've fecked up on the time zone thing again)?

Yuga = sanskrit for "Age"

And apparently, you totally can learn the secrets of the universe in three months (or less).

Of course you have a sigil!
its already there waiting to be expressed, a geometric shape, a trace in paper or in MS paint, whatever, thing is the final symbol should be constructed by all participating, and assembled with all the parts we gather.

Part of the sigil can even be a letter or a simple shape.
even though we show this part, the final symbol will be unique, the same parts wont be arranged the same by everyone, there is magic in the rearranging, and in the uniqueness of the final shape it takes.

whenever you feel like doing it I´m in.

We dont need much, a simple line will do if charged properly and with the right attitude!

The secrets of the universe can be unraveled in 30 minutes or less ,or your money back guaranteed!

all you need is a bit of booze and a few venomous snakes! YEEEHAWWW!
cheers!

I don't know if you're joking or not, but if you're not, please read my last post on Page 7 of this thread.
And the following:

"According to the rishis of ancient India, the world goes through a continuous cycle of these ages. Each ascending phase of the cycle from Kali Yuga to Satya Yuga is followed by a descending phase back to Kali Yuga, then another ascending phase and so on.

1. In the lowest phase, Kali Yuga, most people are aware only of the physical aspect of existence, the predominant emphasis of living is material survival, and power is mostly in the hands of men. People's relationship with the spiritual is governed predominantly by superstition and by authority.

2. In the second phase, Dwapara Yuga, science flourishes, people experience the spiritual in terms of subtle energies and rational choices, inventions are abundant, particularly those that dissolve the illusion of distance (between people and between things), and power is mostly in the hands of women.

3. The third phase,Treta Yuga, is the mental age, magnetism is harnessed, men are in power, and inventions dissolve the illusion of time. (Inventions are characteristic of both Dwapara and Treta yugas.) Lord Rama is said to have lived during this Yuga.

4. In the fourth phase, the great majority of the people can experience spirituality by direct intuitive realization of truth. The veil between the material and the transcendent realms becomes almost see-through, as the illusion of different densities of vibration is dissolved. Power is predominantly in the hands of women. Satya Yuga is also called the Golden Age.

Temples, wars, and writing are hallmarks of Dwapara and Kali yugas. In the higher ages (Treta and Satya), writing is unnecessary because people communicate directly by thought; temples are unnecessary because people feel the omnipresence of God; wars are rare but they do occur and because people have command of vibration bombs they can be extremely damaging."

My first thought?

I want to attend one of those services.

Life is just profoundly awful in West Virginia. It's a series of trash-bag strewn roads (what dumping laws? what trash disposal service? not here, bub.), grey little Piggly-Wigglies (a grocery store chain), sad little shacks stacked with sad little kids right up to mossy rafters. All laid out in rusting ribbons between claustrophobic mountain passes.

And out of that profound misery is born rockabilly services and the need to try one's faith by direct confrontation with mortality.

Amazing.

Also, did anyone else notice whirling dervish guy in the black cowboy shirt (among other whirlers) in the second clip?

yeah spinning out of controlled control, like the stars and the whirlpools, who is to say they dont plumb the mysteries of the Infnite Voices.
It takes guts to even attempt that kind of sorcery, or faith some would say, I say willpower is the force that feeds and sustains faith, that brief connection to the Source, is all there is, reaching it the struggle of a lifetime, because when it seems that understanding is just around the corner, suddenly we realize that what we believed to know, is just exactly the opposite!

Enlightenment at the expense of our own mortality, pass the snake and the Turpentine, its time to PARTY!
