QFT! Yes, the OP won't be able to be found as well.... How come nostradamous (i did that on purpose) predictions keep popping up... Didn't he die like... forever ago? the 20th of Taurus? What months weren't available yet but astrology was? I need a little information on that as well...

Yet another doomsday prediction. ~yawn~ I look at it this way: Armageddon isn't much different from getting a root canal. You know it's gonna happen at some point, so worrying about it is just counterproductive. Ain't no point in letting it ruin your day.

People's memories are so bad...Does anyone remember the people that predicted the March 11th Earthquake?
I sure do. Plus no one is saying this is doomsday. The world didn't end after the Japan Earthquake, why would it end after another earthquake, even if it is 10+ magnitude..

In my opinion the greatest theatre of all is the internet. Maybe a major solar flare or cme will wipe out all of our satellites, considering how active the sun has been lately.

Side note: My second guess would be Hollywood. Since we are on the ring of fire and everyone is predicting a major Cali quake.

P.S I live in Los Angeles and thanks to all of you on ATS I can say I am ready for whatever mother nature or TPTB have in store for us.

Did Nostradamus mention the year? Its true that Sun transits through 20 deg Taurus every year but with out having the year, it would be a kind of 50/50 chances this year.

It is also true that Sun will be in 20T on 11th May 2011 but as a follower of vedic astrology, considering the 23.5 degree tilt of earth, the date would be 5th June 2011. This is also a little close to the Milk Hill planetary crop circle is what I feel. Great theater may mean Rome (colossal ?) or Hollywood? (San andrea fault).

As said in the bible, only the FATHER knows whats going to happen. Lets wait and see.

That's not what it says...the bible says only the father knows what hour the end will begin. It doesn't say anything about not being able to predict disasters. In fact, that's what revelations is.
on a side note, even revelations says that after the "end" humans will still be on earth.
On another side note, the bible is just part of the big picture.

Well I agree, there is no 'greater' theatre than the Internet...and IMO TPTB don't like us all talking to each other quite as much as we all are these days...so you might be onto something.

The best news in your post, is that you are prepared for what could happen ANY day in SoCal...and no doubt, YOUR readiness and preparedness has inspired some around you to do the same...and so on and so on.

It appears to be an interesting 24 hours or so coming up...I just saw a thread here...EQ clouds...in Western NY state!

Good observation. My mind, however, immediately thought of the Roman Coliseum. I have a hard time with predictions of any type. We shall see what the next 48 hours brings though. Here's hoping that they pass quietly.

ROME (Reuters) – If tourists find Rome unusually quiet next Wednesday, the reason will probably be that thousands of locals have left town in fear of a devastating earthquake allegedly forecast for that day by a long-dead seismologist.

For months Italian internet sites, blogs and social networks have been debating the work of Raffaele Bendandi, who claimed to have forecast numerous earthquakes and, according to internet rumors, predicted a "big one" in Rome on May 11.

The national television network RAI has run programs aimed at calming rising panic among Romans. The civil protection agency has issued statements reiterating the official scientific view that earthquakes can't be predicted.

I am not saying there will not be an earthquake, there are earthquakes every day, but i am saying that the comet elenin has nothing to do with our plate tetonics.

Elenin is a disturbance, not an object. NASA found a brown dwarf in the asteroid belt last week too. So I'm betting it might have more to do with us that you think.

Also, Elenin is an object.. a comet to be more precise. Hence the name Comet Elenin.

You are looking at this in not quite the right way.
firstly let me say I am not a big believer of alignments causing predictable disasters, but the energies involved in these alignments I do believe in.
it is because when objects are in an orbit or in rotation, regardless of the height and depth to each, the rotational energy's or torsion field is the same. Now I am no scientist but these torsion fields are real.....Google and research. You say asteroids pass allow the time etc,
seeing as most asteroids are not in an orbit and are just passing by,they have no real rotational energy to add to the equation.
