In the US, the voting process is a sham. With both the electoral college, and the popularity votes, simply increases the division between the parties. The voting process is designed to make the people " feel " like they were part of something, when in reality, it was already decided behind closed doors who would actually get the position.

You know there is something wrong when a candidate gets the popularity vote for a state, but looses because of the electoral college. Its a sham, and a farce that too many people dont realize.
