I explained that there's more going on than we know. And it has something to do with free will and proving points to Satan.

I already explained this. Jesus even came for the expressed purpose of dying, and it happened.There is a bigger issue going on that you need to consider. I don't know how else to say this.

God is all powerful and all knowing...he knew this was going to happen so for him to know and not do anything about it makes him a little prick, it is all his fault and don't give me "he doesn't know the future"...

I put an elipsis (...) meaning I was responding to the whole quote. Again, what part of "there is more going on here than you realize" isn't coming across? Since Satan is TEMPORARILY in charge here, the real question is why anything GOOD ever happens. The fact that it does, and often, is evidence that Satan is limited. God will settles scores; I've said that several times. And that includes arrogant people who make demands of their maker and call him names.

Next, Camping noted that April 1 to May 21 encompasses 51 days. Add 51 to the sum of previous multiplication total, and it equals 722,500.

Camping realized that (5 x 10 x 17) x (5 x 10 x 17) = 722,500.

Or put into words: (Atonement x Completeness x Heaven), squared.

They have been very clever about this. IIRC they did not say May 21st is D-DAY, they stated it is the beginning of the end times. So after may 21st, they will blather on about "it has begun!". What these folks really need is a good deprogrammer and treatment.

When I was telling my Muslim colleagues here at my work in North Africa about this subject. They scoffed at the prospect about Jesus coming back. Because Jesus in the Qur'an was a Messiah/Prophet. Nothing more! He was not the son of God.

When talking about religion here it's made plainly clear by them that since the bible was written by many people it is the false word of God. As they say the Qur'an WAS written by God and not by people and is The word of God.

It's hard to comprehend that due to the arguments and discussions regarding the apparent 'truthfulness' of the bible compared to the 'truthfullness' of the Quar'an that there is any truth to either religions.

Look at the bible stories. Turning water into wine, feeding 5 thousand people with a loaf of bread and 2 fish, walking on water, farting in the red sea (sorry I meant parting the red sea).

Quar'an. Power of the Jinns, shooting stars actually being rocks and stars thrown by God at Satan for spying on him in heaven. (Granted that's a stupid explanation for shooting stars)

Basially both the bible and the qur'an are full of symbolic references. So what I said earlier regarding Jesus symbolically meaning a meteor or Comet could be true!

Sorry for the delay. This thread has been very busy..LOL. Sorry to say I will have to answer your question with a question. Do you see the Last Trumpet in Revelation 11:15 as the same Trumpet mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:52?

Remember Paul was speaking to the Corinthians about a "last trumpet" prior to Johns revelation of the last trumpet. The term "last trumpet," in Hebraic tradition, is a term connected with Rosh haShanah, or the Feast of Trumpets. If one is to set any dates or seasons I would believe that this would be the best timing for the Rapture.

But please brother to not take my word for it. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in your studies let not me be a stumbling block before you.

Trips...falls...hits face on asphalt. Horseman! You son of a...just kidding of course. Anyway I'm wondering about the whole last trumpet thing. When did the first trumpet sound? Or the second? Or what number are we on in regards to these trumpets? I just thought of that actually.

Can anyone even prove that Christ resurrected from the grave, 2000 and some odd years ago? Was the bible written by man, or was it not? Does this May 21st prediction come from MAN or from GOD?

Can anyone provide anything factual besides their own personal belief in a book?

If Christ really does "return", that's wonderful. I'm not planning on it though.
