Ever since I started reading ATS, I see alot of members mention something to the effect of:
"If I knew what I knew now when I was young, I would have done this."

Well I want to know what you would do. I am a 21 year old recent graduate of the police academy. I have a clean background, with a little bit of college. Currently with the way the economy is, not alot of departments are hiring. I want to pursue a second path.

So tell me what you would change, and why.

I'd do everything different, because I would not have the knowledge or wisdom I have collected thus far...

But to be honest... There's not much I would do differently, sure I've screwed up and made mistakes, everyone does, its part of life and learning, but there's not much I'd do different... Probably start playing the guitar at an earlier age (started at 15)

I wouldn't.
Why you may ask? Mainly because we are here to experience and must cherish each and every one.

Good Day.

I would have wanted to know about Jesus early in my young life to keep me from making all the stupid mistakes that put me where I am at.

Nothing that will help you find a job in the legal field. But be real careful who you date because just one wrong one can really really mess you up. I don't mean your emotions. People get expectations and feel you are supposed to meet them and if you don't they may go out of their way to hurt you. Makes it hard to keep any career.

Seriously be very careful who you date or even flirt with.

I'd like to re-do things. Start a relationship with God eairler in life for one. Probably not be so serious in school, I had a few good friends but because of my serious attitude and "don't speak until spoken to" thinking I was labled as extremely shy, didn't have many girlfriends, although that in its self dosn't bother me. Wish I was able to take a joke at that age, played out very poor for me.

And of course freak the crap out of everyone with how much I'd know at age 5, haha! This is of course assuming I'd keep what wisdom and knowledge i've been blessed with. If I couldn't keep that I probably wouldn't want to put myself through all that again *ugh* -_-"

I'm 30.
I wouldn't change a thing.
OK maybe I'd play drums more instead of going into theater.
But then I wouldn't have met my future wife. . . .

I would definitely never borrow a dime for anything unless my life depended on it. I would buy a house as soon as possible. I would trust my instincts more. I would spend more time with the people I loved and respected.

To everyone saying they wouldn't change a thing, what type of careers are you in? If you don't mind me asking;

I am less the stellar student that doesn't need to be doing something amazing to be happy. I cherish every experience as it all adds up.

This is so very sad. If this is true I hope you are supported - emotionally. I've been through much in life but nothing like this. Please take care of yourself - I hope that does not sound trite. This certainly struck my heart. I send you compassion and light and hope that you are ok.

Wouldnt change a thing.. Before we came into the world we chose the life we have.. To learn from it and move on in the path to enlightenment..
If one changed the path of their life they wouldnt learn what is needed to become enlightened thus would have to spend another incarnation to learn what they should have in this lifetime..
