Hi ATS,

I think that the news blackout on Japan is a conspiracy that even the dullest conservative minds will have a hard time denying.

In the following screenshot:

Justin Bieber shows up as the first result in Google News related to Japan: yeah, Justin Bieber, /moan

Potential energy shortages in the upcoming summer months: oh, how sad

What's going on with Japan's damaged power plants: news for the comatose who just woke up

BOJ plans capital boost to provision against losses: no comments

Sun-Ju Ahn wins Japan LPGA major : fantastic news for Japan, some lady managed to put some balls in some holes; all is well

Fcking hell

Total black out! This is the worst nuclear disaster in history by orders of magnitude. It makes Chernobyl look like a minor bummer. The radio active dust is spreading around the planet and showing up in the food supply and what do we get? Justin Bieber!!!
It's like TPTB & GE said "quickly, stuffing the reactor with newspaper didn't work! Release the Bieber" It makes my face red and my mouth spit out fire!

There should be 24/7 coverage on this but instead, Bieber could get sick if he goes to Japan.

As far as I'm aware, the google news ranking (how high up the page) is at least partly ranked by how 'popular' the news item is. That is, the more people that click on the item to read it, the higher up the page it goes.

So... its not that news about Japan isnt there. Its is, but its just that people dont care. They wanna read about Beiber. And golf.

Good Morning All. Here is the thread on ATS, that was started on news blackouts. I'm really glad you brought this up again. It needs attention. Finding dribs and drabs of viable info, has become a mining expedition.

Please bring forward anything you find informative, to this thread, so it doesn't get buried again. TIA.
