Congratulations, you caught a single Canadian Goose in flight.

I would have to say I agree with the other posters who have stated they think it's a goose. Living in Canada [southern Ontario, to be specific], I am surrounded by the things. The shape is identical, and they aren't exactly tiny. Or quiet. Or kind...but I digress.

I would love to think you've got something that isn't identifiable, a real mystery object, but I think it's been made clear that it most likely is just a bird. By the tone of most of your posts in this thread, it seems you're determined to believe otherwise. In which case, you're going to see what you want, and you want to think you have something special here, which I'm sorry - you don't.

At best, you have an unidentified object disguising itself as what looks like a Canadian goose. At worst... you have a Canadian goose. Allow me to apologize on behalf of Canada that it made it's way to your Ohio town.

Here is a similar thing I photographed on 26 April 8:33 with my cellphone, Northeast uk

There was a strange circular Halo, and some blobs of light. I wish I had used video instead as this had some kind of movement.

Here is the link (I hope)

It can't be a bird (goose, swan or whatever) for two simple reasons that the "mighty specialists" with a half-second span attention on this site gladly overlooked:

1. The wings are not symmetrical, and as someone pointed before, no birds in the world flies with the wings off beat.

2. If it was a bird, it should have been visible somewhere in the first pic too. He mentioned that the time lapsed between the two pics was about 5 seconds; it should have been a supersonic bird to appear out of nowhere in the middle of the sky in only 5 sec.

And some replies here are quite disgusting; it really hurts to admit that sometimes we just don't know? I wonder sometimes why I keep returning to this site......

It's a bird. Plain and simple. And all that "Boo hoo I had seen a bird if one had been there" attitude isn't going to change this fact.

It's a bird I can see wings, tail, head, feet .. Bravo India Romeo Delta .. BIRD.

that does look like a bird i wonder what kind though it looks big

Probably a hawk. I see them all the time. Definitely a bird though.

I'm 100% sure it wasn't a bird i would have saw it flying by if it was that close. and if it was a bird it couldn't be a hawk they don't have elongated necks.

Well, the 'neck' could be a tail, but, judging from THAT distance, that is a HUGE "BIRD".~!!!! Where do you live, and what birds are indigenous there??

To me, it looks 'nearly' perfect of a starship I remember seeing on STNG, can't remember which ship it was but I swear I've seen them show it on there~! I thought at first it was a Bird of Prey (Romulan) but, after a quick search, it doesn't have the elongated 'neck' feature.. unless it was a newer model..

nice pic~! was trying to find it, that exactly what I thought of LOL..
But, the neck isn't that long in the pic above; judging from the distance he took the shot at, that neck is VERY long.

OMFreakingGOD.. The Klingons are here!!

Cool pictures, but to me this just looks like the moon showing thru the clouds - I'm pretty much convinced the dark spot you're talking about it simply the night sky appearing after the clouds moved - probably a storm moving in the area.

I took a few pictures of the moon not too long ago trying to figure out how to use my new camera and had similar results.

I'd put them up here if I could figure out how to post pictures on this.

Edit: I think I figured out how to do this:

The bird is, without a doubt, a UK Magpie it is flying from right to left, the long neck is in fact its tail, the shape of its wings provides the direction of flight, notice the curved leading edges and the jagged Primary and Secondary feathers on the trailing edge.

Just type in "Magpie in flight" into Google and you will see many pictures like the one in this thread, the mature Magpie has an extremely long tail.

Sorry no alien craft just a Magpie, Magpies don't fly very high!!!

I don't get what all of the fuss is about.

I know for a fact it is not a bird given that I was there and have first hand knowledge of what happened, just because I and a few others do not share your viewpoint of it being a bird is no reason for the mocking, ridicule, name calling and harsh criticism.

I bet all of you are so quick to react when someone try's to limit your freedom of beliefs, or try to impose their unwanted beliefs upon you. Yet when you meet a small few who do not share in your thoghts you overwhelmingly set out to do just that.

Regarding the photos "I'm sorry" if my thoughts and the thoughts of a few select others Do not fit in with your perception of reality, that's just plain old tough luck and you're going to have to deal with it. You all are so quick to judge but have you ever considered that the other might have seen something you haven't.

Listen, I don't care if you mock me, I know what I witnessed. you should be ashamed of how you labeled the others they are not idiots, morons etc. Just because they don't share your point of view. For some of you I think it's abut time you practice what you preach.

Allow us our beliefs because we certainly allow you yours.

Just for the record the magpie's way too small for that to be it, and to make it clear I have never once stated that I believe it to be an Alien Craft.
