Fox News reported OBL's death DAYS EARLIER!!!

Just wondering....wouldn't it be extremely illegal to hack Twitter, even if it is to just change a comment date?
There have been several possible hacking solutions to this problem suggested. I would caution anyone from attempting to actually hack Twiiter just to prove it can be done. Although no malice may be intended, it could have some serious consequences.

Certainly. That should probably be a disclaimer to this thread: do not attempt anything being discussed, with respect to cracking the servers of Twitter or any site, or attempting to hack the code, even to simply rewrite the text of your own tweet in an attempt to prove a concept. Anything of that nature is very illegal.

I basically have just went on to you tube and have watched every viddy of anything from FOX News from the dates of the 27th - 29th of April. Also checked the video logs on Fox's website. That's what I've been doing, along with checking FOX vids from results in multiple search engines ( all between the 27th to 29th mind you). If anyone else has any other sites I"m sure they'll post them.

I believe CL and Lucidity and Aeons have ordered the material from media matters. It's references several pages back.

I haven't ordered anything. The one that I got a quote from is $75 a segment. I need a more exact time period and a better idea if I should be looking for a national channel or an affiliate.

Oh come on wouldn't she have made her tweet something else if she was going to trouble to hack it? Besides accusing Fox News of something that people could verify and would eventually un verify? Doesn't make sense, guys.

A journalist or sociology student doing a piece on the lengths people will go to verify a claim, or the ways conspiracy theorists can be taken in, or the methods used by group think tanks might.

All the same, the fact remains that this could be either proven or dis-proven to exist. Many of the possible alternatives have been tried. We have one more, but I'd like to narrow the field.

No, I sent him a second message as of yesterday. He has not responded to either of them. It's also very funny you mentioned the college student angle. My fiance is very against the whole conspiracy thing yet she listens for hours to all of my ATS talk . I told her about this thread and even showed her the post(s) and tweet from meg & explained how we are going about investigating it . She too made a comment about it being a "study" about us conspiracy theorists done by the govt. I laughed that off and then she said "Well if not them, maybe a college student writing a thesis on you guys, I mean you guys have been getting a lot of mentions as of the last few weeks on the telly." Very interesting angle.

Everything makes me wonder about this now. Most of all Meg. I mean Meg brought us this claim but she doesn't really seem to care about it as much as a few of us do and that has never sat well with me and I'm sure a few others. Its like she twittered it made a few mentions to other people about how no one cares then has only come back here to confuse us more and change (a significant bit/part ) of a story that she was so sure about the first time, Its as if she needs us to keep going. Very odd. But then again maybe just a normal person having a time trying to remember something. Either way I would very much like to find out.

Nothing really that fishy...

The news got it wrong.

He was actually killed April 30th I believe, on a saturday.. and

Obama gave a speech about it May 1rst [a sunday]

And this video was uploaded on a Monday [May 2nd]

Rewinding from Monday to Saturday is not "literally a week".

But it's still considered last week , as if Saturday[from monday]

Is last week.

first it is 9/11 = 9-1-1 = emergency

then the obama's speech on MAY 1st = May Day

give me a break...on this whole bs

obama's rating is going down, election is around the corner
to boost his ratings again, gives a speech on killing Bin Laden
and quickly dump his body to the sea

why? to give the respect? wasn't much respect when they shot him in the face when he was unarmed

Actually, the simplest solution is that Meg was (and is) lying about seeing the ticker, because we've looked for it and it doesn't exist. There was no Osama bin Laden headline for Meg to misread... hence, she didn't misread it. She didn't read it at all. She's lying.

BUT, as has been discussed previously, unless she hacked twitter (highly unlikely, but not improbable) or made a really lucky guess, it's hard to see how she could have lied bout this.

Therefore, the most likely conclusion in my mind is mistake. But it's damn interesting anyway.

Ironically, I've been the main one in this thread discussing both the "physics" and the likelihood of her hacking Twitter, and, at the moment, that's what I'm leaning towards. Even the most novice of hackers could gain enough access to rewrite the text of one of their own tweets from April 28...it's really not that hard. Earlier, I had decided that it was nearly impossible for this to be a hack, but it never occurred to me to simply rewrite an earlier tweet (I guess the simplest solutions are sometimes the hardest to see)...it makes it much more likely.

Well...I'm not about to hack Twitter. Not even my own account (which I would have to create...again). Though, I was messing around with the code the other day, but that was just with Google Chrome's Inspect Element tool (harmless experimentation... Chrome isn't going to provide a hacking platform). But, I won't hack Twitter. Besides, I don't have the tools... I'm, personally, not a hacker. I just have a working knowledge of programming and whatnot.

Wont be difficult to get a copy of that program or find someone who has it DVRed.

The tweet was made 1:43 PM Eastern time. So whatever was on during that time slot on April 28th would be the best bet to look at.

This should be enough information. Has anyone found/posted the actual show yet?
