It was probably around 9:30-10:00 PM when I saw it, not exactly sure because the MAVS were too busy beating the LAKERS! We're up 3-0!!! I was about to hop in my car to go over to a buddy's house and finish watching the game as it was still the 2nd quarter, and I would arrive there just prior to half-time. (The reason I keep referring to the basketball game is so somebody might have seen something during this time frame.) But, I digress.

I scanned the skies before I jumped in my ride to look at the stars like I always do, and then I had a WTF moment! A star was moving across the sky at a pretty slow rate but still noticeable to someone star-gazing. It came from the northwest and continued on this path until it was out of sight. (I live 1-2 miles to the west of the DFW Airport for a better reference.) And the UFO had to have been only 2 or 3 miles away from the airport at its closest point. There were no flashing lights like a plane would have and way too bright to be a satellite. I've lived near this airport forever and I know that wasn't no airplane.

I yelled at my family and some of their friends that were inside the house to come check it out. And thank God they saw it too lol so we know I'm not completely crazy. No one got a video or picture because we have a lot of trees in our neighborhood thus snubbing any attempts at getting a decent photo or video. I feel ashamed for not getting evidence because I'm a skeptic like most here on ATS and I know y'all would want to see something, sorry guys

I'm hoping somebody can confirm what I saw tonight that lived in another location here in the DFW area or even up near the Red River or farther south down near Waco maybe...

Somebody had to have seen it!!!

I will check the FAA records for something but we'll see what turns up. Or if someone that is far craftier than I could check it in case I miss something that would be cool.

It was trippy!

So, it was trippy because you saw a light moving across the sky with no flashing lights? Its a ufo then?

i dont get what was so special about this...and why you think it couldnt have been a satelite. Did it make any 90 degree turns? Did it blink out? Why was this so special?

You say it was too bright to be a satalite but have you ever heard of iridium flares?

www.satobs.org...

What you described sounded just like a satalite to me but that doesnt mean that it was, just speculating.

You must not have lived here too long if you haven't noticed it before. If you want a better look get away from the city. I don't know how you were star gazing in the middle of the metroplex anyway. On a Friday night? Star gazing in the city? Really?

Get out in the country and it will really blow your mind how bright it is. It must be a satellite, it goes by every night or did for a while, but yea, I've seen it before.

It was not real star gazing buddy, I realize its hard to see stuff here in the metroplex. I was being dramatic, now calm down.

Nah man it was faster than that and you could tell it was not as high as a satellite either because of how it went off into the distance.

So what exactly were you being dramatic about?

No need for drama...it ruins your cred.

OP - Maybe you should check out this website www.heavens-above.com...

You can see all the things that fly over you at a certain time. Its a great little site and I have used it loads.

Holy s**t dude don't take stuff so literal. By dramatic I mean "making the account interesting to the reader." You need to chill bro.

The only stars I've ever seen around the metroplex practice in Frisco and play in Dallas.

If I'm lucky I can see the moon and a few stars but that's about it. I very highly doubt you could see a satellite here.
