He was also against TRAP. TARP was instrumental in saving the US economy and has worked fantastically. Since then the US has made a profit off it and kept the economy together.

Trap makes profit

Trap works

Trap worked deal with it.

I see some truth in the OP's argument. What i basically saw is Tarp is a TRAP from his own writing

Or is it

The FED? Well since Im spanish I dont really need to understand how it works, however, as Im curious enough I watched zeitgeist, then decided to read a bit more because it did not made sense alltogether, then it all fell into place. I would advice you do the same, educate yourself a bit before you embarras yourself spewing the sentence "the FED is part of the government, and its what keeps the US going" Id rather say its what keeps the US sinking even deeper, and as has been pointed out before, its as federal as federal express, guess you dont understand the sentence, or something.

We have our own elections in spain the 20th, hairy and disgusting, but gotta go for the lesser evil...

Edit: I understand that grasping all the concepts in zeitgeist, the ecconomy part at least is not simple, I would advice to grab enough paper and pen to last for a couple of hours, and be careful, the rabbit hole is very very deep indeed.

Watching and believing zeitgeist was your first mistake there. You say you do not know it then proceed to call me uneducated. Bravo! Zeitgeist isnt accurate, its more insane than alex jones.
I have educated myself, thats why I know that that zeitgeist is bunk and how the us central bank works.
The US is growing right now and US bonds are still being demanded at near zero rates. Cant say the same for spain.

Quick! Before someone else is voted in and continues to screw things up! Now is the time we act!

Today I am calling everyone in ATS to come together and make the new political party that will take this country and put it on the right path! We need ATS to become a political party!

Yeah! I can see it now! We'll use the forum to decide who the elected runners will be and we'll try to have them entered in to the election! I mean, since there are so many people that understand everything there is about politics and running a country, this should be no problem!

So let the games, I mean, elections begin! Come forth all ye who think they can lead a country and lets get debating! I want to see one of you political geniuses give these other qualified guys from the Republican and Democratic party a run for their money and show the country what it really means to be a man by the people, for the people.

That's not true.
Actually he has been right about pretty much everything, even his predictions of what the economy will do have come true. Even his critics have recognized this.

The reason Ron Paul looks like the outcast and heretic is because he's the only one who is brave enough to speak for the American public. He's the only candidate without an agenda that will further bankrupt the people and the country.

Exactly Ron paul is the only politician who is willing to address the real issues. I don't agree with everything he says (particularly the way he wants to deal with pollution) but he's the only candidate worth considering.

QE1 and QE2 have also worked to stimulate the economy. Ben Bernanke can also prove how it has worked and why we needed it. There is proof that it has worked.

It appears that Ron Paul is continually wrong about the economics of the country

How's that TARP/Stimulus going.......

In its monthly report to Congress, the Treasury Department now says it expects to lose $23.6 billion, up from its previous estimate of $14.33 billion. From The Detroit News: detnews.com...$23.6B#ixzz1dtrssyrI

Yeah the US is growing.
I see that that you really have no idea what the Us debt really means. For the millionth time, it does not matter how high it is. And the us does pay its deb. Its called debt refunding and we have the best record of paying our debts. Not that you would actually know any of that since Mr. Paul is your source of information.

Ron Paul served his country as a Flight Surgeon in the air force and the air national guard.
Ronald Reagan has called Ron Paul one of the most outstanding leaders: “Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country.” – Ronald Reagan
Believes national defense is the single most important responsibility the Constitution entrusts to the federal government.
Voted to authorize military force to hunt down Osama bin Laden and authored legislation to specifically target terrorist leaders and bring them to justice.
He will Make securing our borders the top national security priority.
He will avoid long and expensive land wars that bankrupt our country by using constitutional means to capture or kill terrorist leaders who helped attack the U.S. and continue to plot further attacks.
He will guarantee our intelligence community’s efforts are directed toward legitimate threats and not spying on innocent Americans through unconstitutional power grabs like the Patriot Act.
He will end the nation-building that is draining troop morale, increasing our debt, and sacrificing lives with no end in sight.
He will follow the Constitution by asking Congress to declare war before one is waged.
He will only send our military into conflict with a clear mission and all the tools they need to complete the job – and then bring them home.
He will ensure our veterans receive the care, benefits, and honors they have earned when they return.
He will revitalize the military for the 21st century by eliminating waste in a trillion-dollar military budget.
He will prevent the TSA from forcing Americans to either be groped or ogled just to travel on an airplane and ultimately abolish the unconstitutional agency.
He will stop the government from taking money from the middle class and the poor to give to rich dictators through foreign aid.
Ron Paul’s national defense policy will ensure that the greatest nation in human history is strong, secure, and respected.
He iss the leading spokesman in Washington for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency.
He is known among both his colleagues in Congress and his constituents for his consistent voting record in the House of Representatives
Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution.
A man of principle and family values. He has been married to Carol for over 50 years, and are the proud parents of five children and have eighteen grandchildren.
Ron Paul consistently voted to lower or abolish federal taxes, spending, and regulation, and used his House seat to actively promote the return of government to its proper constitutional levels
He serves on the House Financial Services Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee.
He has been a distinguished counselor to the Ludwig von Mises Institute, and is widely quoted by scholars and writers in the fields of monetary policy, banking, and political economy
He has received many awards and honors during his career in Congress, from organizations such as the National Taxpayers Union, Citizens Against Government Waste, the Council for a Competitive Economy, and countless others.
Dr. Paul’s consistent voting record prompted one Congressman to comment that “Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers’ ideal of the citizen-statesman.
Ron Paul will Veto any unbalanced budget Congress sends to his desk.
Will continue Refusing to further raise the debt ceiling so politicians can no longer spend recklessly.
Will continue fighting to fully audit (and then end) the Federal Reserve System, which has enabled the over 95% reduction of what our dollar can buy and continues to create money out of thin air to finance future debt.
Will fight for Legalizing sound money, so the government is forced to get serious about the dollar’s value.
Will END the corporate stranglehold on the White House.
Will drive down gas prices by allowing offshore drilling, abolishing highway motor fuel taxes, increasing the mileage reimbursement rates, and offering tax credits to individuals and businesses for the use and production of natural gas vehicles.
Will work to eliminate the income, capital gains, and death taxes to ensure you keep more of your hard-earned money and are able to pass on your legacy to your family without government interference.

your reasoning behind the feds being needed is as flawless as their problem solving.

Q What is an 'Economic Stimulus' payment ?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q.. Where will the government get this money ?
A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money ?
A. Only a smidgen of it.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment ?
A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?
A. Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the U.S. economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:

* If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China or Sri Lanka .
* If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.
* If you purchase a computer, it will go to India , Taiwan or China .
* If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico , Honduras and Guatemala ..
* If you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea .
* If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan .
* If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.

1) Spending it at yard sales, or
2) Going to ball games, or
3) Spending it on prostitutes, or
4) Beer or
5) Tattoos.

(These are the only American businesses still operating in the U.S. )
Conclusion:
Go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that you met at a yard sale and drink beer all day !

clearly they handle the money like a pro as you can see in real time.

idk why you think fema does a good job too, seriously, you saying that is laughable. makes me think you just sit at your house all day never looking out the window.

Im sure a new program will be formed for stuff like the DOE, most likely being replace with a more efficient and less wasteful energy program. The current situation of exploiting oils lucrative value is clearly not working and (in my opinion) more focus should be placed on alternative energy.

dont even get me started on the dhs and with their ridiculous trampling of the constitution, and by keeping us safe, you most certainly mean keeping us in the dark.

then you got the dhhs. you should really do a little reading on how lying and deceitful they are

get out from under the rock dude and wake up.

Absolutely.

Vic is telling the truth about how we might feel on other subjects, but I respect him for looking past his differences,as I am sure he respects me,when it come to Ron Paul, and who we are going to vote for. Polar opposites, but both wanting change. We obviously believe in what this man stands for,and its a good day when opposites can come together in the political arena.

For the naysayers...............

Look into Ron Paul's positives. Way out his negatives, which I can say, isnt many, and decide with your moral convictions.

Yep.
People shouldn't expect to agree with every platform a candidate runs on.
I personally think Universal healthcare is a good thing. However Obama's plan sucks. Ron Paul obviously isn't for universal healthcare, but the other things he is for I am down with. He will pave the way because he will break the left and right cycle that has dominated US politics. He will make a lot of changes I want and hopefully one day there will be a left leaning candidate that is as honest and smart as Paul that can write us up a decent healthcare proposal that benefits everyone (doctors and patients). I feel though that without the initial change, that just getting Paul in office will bring, that I will never see some of the good left leaning ideas put into action.

You don't have to agree with someone 100 percent to know that a lot of what they stand for is good, and better than our other options. It is a long process and we have to take steps to get there. Getting Paul in is the first step in a decades long battle of fixing this country.

Yeah...about him reading the Constitution...

"Certainly the drafters of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, both replete with references to God, would be aghast at the federal government's hostility to religion."
- Ron Paul

www.lewrockwell.com...

Please show me one of the many references to God in the Constitution. I mean, there must be many, since Ron Paul said there were.
