well I don't know if this is anything or not. I just got this camera with night vision recently and this was my first time using the night vision for video because it was too dark to record the fog without it.. but at 1:25 there is a quick flash of light and movement that is so quick you may have to watch a few times to see it.. right before you hear "oh thats so cool" which was not in reference to the flash of light btw. I noticed the flash but thought it was my eyes playing tricks so I ignored it until I watched the video later and saw it again and realized the camera caught it.
would love some input here guys. what do you think this is? I am new to night vision so please be gentle if this is something simple and common.
It helps if I link the video. sheesh.

You mean the little, flickery-flash type thing that you see in the left had side of the video? I think it was probably nothing to be honest. By nothing I mean that I don't think it was anything unusual. Night vision acts differently than say, taking pictures in normal daylight-but I'm not expert so perhaps waiting until someone else comes along who is would be better. Good luck.

I did initially its up now. its really fast so you have to watch from 1:24 to 1:26 carefully to catch it.

I've watched it three times now, could you perhaps point out at what point you think a "UFO" shows up"?

If it's that dark cloud over the back the tripoded camera then I'm afraid you have lost all meaning of what aerial phenomena is and expect an apology from you to that measure.

Well that's what I was wondering. Like I said, I am new to using night vision so I have no previous experience with how it works and what to expect. I look forward to hearing from some experience night vision photographers.

no I am not talking about the cloud.. its a very quick flash of light and movement at about 1:25 btw in no part of the OP did I refer to a UFO. I said I had no idea what it was.. that's why I was asking for some others with experience with this sort of photography to help me out.

Bug?

It's so quick it could be anything.

I had seen the flash visually.. we don't have lightning bugs yet so maybe a shooting star. hmm.

Could be any type of bug, the night vision is just enhancing it.

Ah, sussed it. It's a rod.

It's a Plebian IV mach 5 for shizzle.

I've seen them drink up water whilst mutilating cows and alter mankind's history all in one go.

We see them like that in Alabama all the time, 'cept this isn't Alabama and...

Hey NephraTari,

I recently posted a thread relating to an article of Ed Grimsley. He specialises in filming with night vision equipment. Below is a link to a thread which shows his footage, I believe this is the kind of thing you should be looking out for opposed to the very quick anomaly in your video.

UFO Battles - Ed Grimsley - Skywatch

I personally would just disregard this anomaly [on this occasion], it's too quick and lacking enough detail to gain any further insight into what it possibly is. Keep looking up, you clearly have the equipment to get the job done - just be persistent.

Good luck!

P.S - Apparently the footage Ed Grimsley captures can be seen from pretty much anywhere at any time of the night!

Ya I am not really impressed with it, just wanted to know if other night vision people knew what it was so I could look out for it in the future. I like to have an explanation for things. and thanks for the links.

I've watched it a bunch of times at 720p but I don't see a flash or anything out of the ordinary
