I would like to talk about REAL change.
When I say real change I mean everyday peoples willingness to change the world around them.
When I look around me and find people unhappy with the state of things in their country/word, be it the government, bankers, wars, environment etc but are people really willing to do anything about it other than just complain?
What I generally see is most people are more interested in short-term day to day living but think nothing long term for their children and children’s children.

People seem to know they are being walked on but as long as they are getting their salary then they are willing to overlook it.

Here on ATS people seem to be generally an open minded bunch and wondered, are you willing to do something/anything to change the way things are? do you think it’s pointless to even try? Do you think it’s worth every fibre in your body to try?

I would love to hear your input especially new members

To quote The Day the Earth Stood Still; "We only evolve at the precipice."

That is to say; it is only when our collective circumstances become dire enough to destroy us that we, as a species, develop the will to change.

Does that mean that you are also not willing to change?

I think people's sense of justice, morality, and overall well-being revolves only around their own egoistic and selfish needs. There is enough emphasis in our society placed on short-term monetary gains - be it financially, or a form of psychic security against fearsome realizations, that the pacing of life has become a sprint. This of coarse makes it very difficult for positive entities to find a place in the market, or overall societal structure; ones that would create the pathways for a better and sustainable life.

I hope I AM doing something. I spent 50 years contemplating solutions and I believe I have found one. For it to work, however, many must be contemplating the Ideas I came up with.

I wrote two threads here detailing the Ideas and welcome you to read them. They are both linked in my sig.

The End of Entropy - the foundation - read first

The Ethical Planetarian Party Platform - the structure

I hope you choose to read and comment. [smile]

Those are some very inspiring threads which have made me realise that there is actually be a light at the end of the tunnel. But until money has become obsolete then surely we need a plan until we can have free energy. Maybe the way to get people to change for the good of the world is to give people a framework such as yours to get excited about and work towards.
I will be posting on your threads and would suggest everyone at least read through your ideas.
It is definitely a step in the right direction

Thank you so much. The sad fact is... There really isn't much else We can do except spread the Ideas. The way it is it's going down. No other options at this point. Believe Me, if I thought there was ANY answer within the present system, I wouldn't be so adamant about the paradigm shift.

Thank you again for sharing the Ideas. The more who do the more likely it is that they will take hold.

I change constantly.

There are power structures in place preventing collective change.
