As soon as I read "harmful traditional practices, including witchcraft" I stopped reading. Yes, this is bad and disgusting, but this is not traditional witchcraft.

This is the first time I have ever heard of this, but it reminds me of a story told to me in 1973 by one of the tour guides at the FBI Museum in DC. Supposedly, after John Dillinger died, his penis was stolen from his body at the morgue. Later on it was "found", and was on display in a jar of formaldehyde at the museum at the time of our visit. They alluded to the reason for the theft being the size of the organ. Still, I don't quite understand why they were showing the organ (which had shrunk considerably, considering the original claim of 14 inches) to 12 and 13 year old Boy Scouts touring the museum. Besides the "Bobbit" incident, this is the only other time I have heard of this in the US, but neither of them involved witchcraft. Let's hope that practice stays in it's homeland.

Remind me never to go to these countries!

If they want to give me a free vasectomy though, that I can live with!

Many of the "witches" aren't women.

These are the same guys telling people that if they have sex with a baby, it'll cure AIDS.

I can totally understand where the anger and fear of these people comes from.

So there are witch burnings in Africa. Of course, generally they are just going after some kids. Probably because going after children is easier than actually going after someone who is looking at you to size up which body part they'd like for their inventory.

black magic is making a come back and the dajjal is coming its not suprising to me even if you dont believe in a holy creater you cant deny the notion of good(positive) and evil(negative) energy

suppose the S&B boys sure have done well keeping their secrets, secret ... tis a shame Americans are so easily led. history speaks for itself should you be willing to search the truth ... and not from google, either.
yes, i agree these practices are disgusting, however, they're not as uncommon as you perceive.

Uh huh... except when I say Wiccan you know what I'm talking about and it is more narrowly defined than witchcraft.

What point were you trying to make because you and I both know that Wiccan (while maybe technically meaning witchcraft) regards something much more specific.
If you actually read my post you will see that I am knowledgeable on the subject and so I will kindly ask that you know what you are talking about before you post.
Deny ignorance.

There is so much ignorance in the responses on this thread.
All these former soccer moms getting up in arms saying "this isn't MY witchcraft."
Sorry ladies and gents, what this thread is about isn't wine coolers, incense, and mother earth.
This is much older and culturally embedded witchcraft.

Actually you can deny the notion of good and evil... those are subjective terms which are relative to the orientation of the desires of mind or body... literally they grow out of the ID...

Objectively there is no good or evil... but, as Paul says... "To he who esteemeth it so, so it is"

Actually wicca as an accepted term/organization is only 50 years old... however it is based on many other older traditions...

And of course there are two types of "witchcraft" Those practiced, and those assumed... i.e. a girl who is successful is "accused of witchcraft"... vs the person who actually practices a witchcraft

Please, seriously witchcraft ceremonies and ritual varies from countries to another, understand wiccan just recently invented their pseudo religion

So please , dont think all witchcrafts rituals are copied from your wiccan BS

"ooooh im a witch, i pray with mother earth, its so exciting, i love wiccan, its an awsome hobby"

Really some peoples have too much times in their hands or played Dungeons and Dragons a bit too long

And ATS say it Deny Ignorance ?

Just go take your wizard robes and go play outside, dont try to hurt yourself

Male genitalia tops witchcraft list

The study also found South Africa had created a market for body parts trafficked from Mozambique.

The research showed that at least one mutilation occurred in both countries every two weeks during the 14 months of the study between 2008 and 2010.

Male and female genitalia, tongues, ears, heads and breasts were among the body parts that topped the list of those most sought after in the two countries.

According to the research project’s manager, Simon Fellows, the vast majority of mutilations, 89 percent, took place in Mozambique. However, 75 percent of the parts removed from a bod

Lotta good all that witchcraft has done South Africa...

It is rather unsettling, but it ain't happening here, so its all good. We have the good old fashioned Washington occult building mysticism.

hahahaha, depends on you ... witches/warlocks don't 'become' they practice.
light and dark resides in each and everyone, walk your path and practice being who you are ... (witch/wise) ... practice your 'craft' and you have 'become' a witch.
Really is a shame the word has gained such viscous negativity associations.

You have a very biased view of witchcraft.

I assure you that most wiccans (or witches) do not practice like this.
Wiccans have the market cornered on the term witch now?

I found this news shocking, and rather disgusting to say the truth.

Now i have met and spoken to a few traditional healers here in SA, but have never seen human bodyparts around their huts.

The thing is though, witchcraft is also still rather heavily practiced by some of the indiginous tribes, and i have a feeling most of these bodyparts is being used by these "witches".

It is sad however that in a civilized world that we live in today, something like this should still be happening.
