NewsFlavor.com’s infamous unnamed White House insider provides Ulsterman with more behind the scenes details of the decision to kill Osama bin Laden. He states, “I was told—in these exact terms, ‘we overruled him’ (Obama). I have since followed up and received further details on exactly what that meant, as well as the specifics of how [CIA director] Leon Panetta worked around [Obama’s] ‘persistent hesitation to act.’ There appears NOT to have been an outright overruling of any specific position by …Obama, simply because there was no specific position from [Obama] to do so.

I just did a quick read through of the thread and it seemed like people were saying there was no reason to believe him/ no information about him. This doesn't necessarily mean he's not completely correct though, right? Someone compared him to Deepthroat and even though there wasn't any reason to believe what he was saying he ended up being completely correct. I'm still new here and maybe I missed something on that thread so please let me know if I did.
Silent Coup, is a bestselling 1992 book written by Len Colodny and Robert Gettlin in which they contend that former Nixon White House counsel John Dean orchestrated the 1972 Watergate burglary at Democratic National Committee headquarters to protect his future wife, Maureen Biner, by removing information linking her to a call-girl (prostitute) ring that worked for the DNC. The authors also argued that Alexander Haig was not Deep Throat but was a key source for Bob Woodward, who as a Naval officer had briefed Haig at the White House in 1969 and 1970.[49][50]
In March Barack Obama began chairing a series of five national security meetings. At the last of these, on Friday 29 April, while the world's attention was on the royal wedding taking place in London, he gave the order to mount an operation.
At that meeting, at 8.20am in the diplomatic room at the White House, Obama met his national security adviser Thomas Donilon, counter-terrorism adviser John O Brennan, and other senior national security aides to go through the detailed plan to attack the compound and sign the formal orders authorising it, the New York Times reported.
