Death Photos of Unidentified Men in Osama bin Laden Compound Leaked (WARNING, GRAPHIC)

I'm definately no expert on this sort of stuff and the photos don't offer much in the way of context i.e. close up shots of the bodies only, but to me I'd say that looks more like an assasination/execution than a fierce firefight. One would think if it was a shootout the bodies would be riddled with bullets. As I said I'm no expert but they look rather intact and it appears that all of the men were shot in the head or from behind as they don't apear riddled with bullets (the top one maybe but the amount of blood makes it hard to tell).

It was taken sometime after. Look at the date and the day. And would SEALs be taking pics in daytime and one of their own downed helos?

Yeah, I can see that now. And I did notice in the only photo released by the WH that there are drag marks in the blood where they've lifted a body.

I'm confused. The reports have said that the SEALS blew up their downed helo. so that technology wouldn't fall into the wrong hands. So, what helicopter is this and is it one of ours or did it come from somewhere else?

ETA: so that picture is of the tail section?

I think those pics were taken AFTER the seals left.

As I underrstand it, they stormed the place and killed everyone inside, then they took only one(some?) of the bodies for a sea burial but left the rest behind. then announced they'd killed osama.

Every honest senario I can play out in my mind as to why they would take osama's body to despose but not these mens fails.

either the men incharge of this operation were bizarly and illogically moronic or this is a conspiracy.

The explanation I could come up with is that they had no room to take them all .. one of the helos were down, they said they had planned to take Osama's wife with them for interrogation but had no room so they left her behind as well, if they left her behind and she could have been valuable for information, it stands to reason they wouldn't be able to load up a few more dead bodies as well ..

I couldent star enough!!!!! the video footage played out on the MSM shows a fire and i specificly remember them saying that its was a explosive devise placed on the helo to destroy it so outhers couldent get it.....

Now heres where this gets more intresting, does that mean 2 helo's where downed one fooked and one repairable.

We also have to remember that these photos where taken the next day and im sure the Pakistani government wouldent blow up the helo as they would have wanted to back engineer it.

What is the official time on the firefight?

Based on the number of people in the house and number dead, I don't imagine it was long.

In one source I read 12 people in the house and 5 died.

The photo only shows part of a helo .. look at it, it's the tail section of a copter, what is seen in the photo is OBVIOUSLY not big enough to haul much as it is .. it's a small part of a much bigger copter

Possible that they forgot to put explosives on the tail section. It was hanging over the wall.

The tail section is of no value.. the main part of the copter is where the computer equipment sits.. this has the important technology.. flight plans, base locations, troop locations, mission parameters and other technology.. the helo itself is probably not all that secret, but the computer systems and the data contained therein IS .. so the point of destroying it is to make sure that data and those systems don't fall into enemy hands.. you also don't want the machine to be repaired and used against you .. if the tail section flies off undamaged it's not that important.

Can someone identify the type of helicopter this is? How small does one have to be, to fit in that thing?

Right....yet we have not heard one thing about a drone being used, er downed...and you would think they would have destroyed it....

All true. Just wish the tail was also destroyed cause it could give the Pakisanis or even the Chinese the hint of the design of the helo. As well as the materials involved.

Something is just.......not right...

I've sent the photo of that tail section to a few friends of mine who are in the airforce, but not gotten a response yet.. but just to re-state .. what we're seeing is just the tail of the copter .. one friend suggested an MH-60 but I'm not sure
