They didnt dare put him in a court for fear that he would tell the truth.
He was bushs man on the spot, dealing weapons for heroin. To fight the russians with. After 911 when all the USA was grounded and the hunt was on for osama. Guess what? The only planes flying that day were the planes taking the bin ladin family safely home to the saudi.
A cave man and his gang armed with box cutters took out the HQ of the greatest miliitary in the world? hahaha
Suck dont blow boys.

I am wondering when America will give Bin Ladin a medal for helping to defeat communism. He was our freedom fighter guy in Afghanistan. He was instrumental in breaking up the Soviet Union. The evidence against him seems fabricated. Who knows who the heros are anymore.

Why are you defending a cold blooded murderer?

Nobody is defending a cold blooded murderer, why are you then defending the cold blooded murder of an unarmed person who has not received due process?

What message does this send out about us?

In the eyes of the world we are now hypocrites who speak of our institutions and laws in hushed, reverent tones, fight for them, die for them, but when put to the test we go against all of those high ideals and shoot someone dead without trial..

It makes us worse then them

It also makes us hypocritical murderers who cannot even keep our own laws.. And drags countries like mine.. The UK.. Down with the same hypocrisy...

Do not get me wrong.

I do not mourn this chap, nor his ilk... Not one bit!

But I do mourn the loss of our integrity...

Our strategy in Afghanistan vs. the Soviets worked pretty well, at the time. Bin Laden wasn't "The Leader" of the Mujaheddin, he was just a spoke in the wheel. People make it sound like we supported him and no one else there. We and the Gulf states would pretty much arm anyone willing to kill Soviets, probably not the best thing to do with radical Fundamentalists in hindsight. Sometimes you can't pick ideal allies or partners, look at WWII, Stalin was just as much of a sociopath as Hitler was, yet he was our sociopath.

He was always considered to be "Extremely Armed and Dangerous" and should never be accosted or confronted without arms, heavy arms. No one knew going in weather or not he was armed to the "T" or if he had the building wired to explode or have a suicide vest sitting nearby. These are just simply things The US Navy Seals do not question nor second guess. This was a highly successful campaign as there was no damage nor destruction to the surrounding neighbourhood and all death was limited to just the compound. The Seals are trained to "get in, do the deed, and get out". The fact they landed and were back in the air in about 15 mins tells me unequivocally that this operation was a resounding success.

In previously issued videos always showed him with a fully loaded and cocked AK-47 at his side and at the ready, this is one of the contingencies they were planning for. It was HIS AK47.

Hi, let me just ask this :

The victims of 9/11 when they were killed, did they all had a weapon to defend themselves?

I don't think so..Why is so many people talking about the fact that OBL was killed unarmed? to bad for him, 2 shoots was little for what he deserves.

Sorry if I'm the only one that thinks this way but after what he did in 9/11 I don't think there is much more to say in that matter.

So if you tomorrow were accused of murder, and shot in the head by the police without a trial, and it turned out you were innocent, that is justice?

So every criminal in the world including war criminals deserves to be tried under U.S. law? Regardless if they are citizens of U.S.? What are you talking about??????? NO NO NO!!!!! That right is reserved for the people who are from this country. I am sick and tired of the people who bash the U.S. repeatedly and then beg for U.S. rights!!!!!! What hypocrites!

The evidence is there that he is guilty of the 11/9/2001 attack, and other attacks. However shooting an unarmed man, regardless of his crimes is a crime in itself, one which I believe the person who ordered his assassination / murder / execution should be brought to trial for. Nobody has the right to end another persons life, regardless of the circumstances, when there is no need. If he didn't come quietly, and if he wasn't armed with a firearm, he should have been tranquillised, tazered or some other non lethal method used to bring him down.

If anything all they did was make a martyr of him.

If I am ever being accused of the murders of 1000's of innocent civilians around the globe. and I document my actions on tape and audio.........then by all means please shoot me.

You are acting like he is just your run of the mill criminal. This is mass murdering self confessed terrorist.

There are a select few people on earth in the last few centuries that deserved to die for their actions as soon as possible, this man was one of them.

Instead of a chaotic firefight, the U.S. officials said, the American commando assault was a precision operation, with SEALs moving carefully through the compound, room to room, floor to floor.

This is a clear cut example of multiple counts of Murder by assassination, authorized by a biased non-arbitrary Government based on lies and deceit, and the United States President, Barack Obama, should be held accountable for his orders and actions within a World court. The continued belief of being above the law by the Government of the United States makes a mockery of the entire system of the Laws and Rights which they themselves expect others to abide by.

I draw your attention to the Rights violated by the United States Government in regards to Osama Bin Laden.

* Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.

Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of any criminal charge against him.

* (1) Everyone charged with a penal offense has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which he has had all the guarantees necessary for his defense.
* (2) No one shall be held guilty of any penal offense on account of any act or omission which did not constitute a penal offense, under national or international law, at the time when it was committed. Nor shall a heavier penalty be imposed than the one that was applicable at the time the penal offense was committed.

* No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.

* (1) Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.

* Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein.

Not to mention the breach of contract/treaty signed and accepted by the United States of America.

Don't get me wrong. IF Osama Bin Laden was proven beyond the benefit of doubt to have master minded the attacks of 9/11 and other atrocities and found guilty in a non-biased Court of Law then he should have been skinned alive, covered in sea salt and left for the morning dew, IMO.
However, everyone knows there is controversy of authorship and action regarding this case whether they believe it or not thus supplying doubt.
