Very simple question:

How much time do you spend here on ATS, and is that time helping you get any closer to creating the life you want for yourself or those around you?

Or are we just playing into the hands of TPTB by filling our time and minds here with their contrived propaganda campaigns?

I don't know. I'll ask the two men in the black SUV across the street. They have a better vantage from where they're sitting.

I, personally, DO feel better having found this site. Sometimes the things I think, the things I feel, scare the hell outta me. Then I come here, and I'm surrounded by people who are going through the exact same things, feeling the same way....and they're as confused as I am.
I also love that everyone around the globe posts local stories...things/situations we wouldn't have otherwise heard about on MSM. It gives us a wider and deeper understanding of what's going on in the world outside of what we're being told.

So YES...even if we've got to weed through some of the fear-mongers and trolls...posting and interacting here on ATS does make me feel better!

No kidding.... I had some "coincidental" experiences with the U.S. government after doing some personal research into some stuff and posting here.

We're anonymous to each other here, but certainly not to the Feds. They know where we're sitting when we type our posts.

I cut my cable long ago so I like to keep up to date by using ATS .

In my time here I have made some good friends , seen stories I would have never seen anywhere else and get breaking news as it happens .

How much time do I spend here , far less then most waste watching TV .

Has it made my life better , no . But it has made it more interesting

I didn't ask whether it made you feel better.

I asked if it helped you get any closer to creating the life you want. Smoking pot all day makes people feel better too.

To answer your question in short NO, and YES..

I spend a lot of time on different forums, I am lucky enough to have a job with flexible hours, That alows me a lot of free time through out my day..

There are times when i would say ATS shines through and it's INTELLIGENT posters never cease to amaze me with the truths and intelligent findings they bring forward..

It's simple for me.. I turn to ATS when i want to read a good STORY.. If i want the actual news i go else where..

I will give you a example, After the "OBL" announcement Sunday night i swore i would avoid this site for a few day's..

As i wanted to keep the story fresh in my head and think about it with a open mind.. Before i turned to ATS and read the 100 million mis-informative posts, and flat out lies..

So that being said, ATS is fun for entertainment purposes.. Very rarely is there any "truths" behind what you read on the boards..

I know my phone clicks more than it used to. I usually keep my posts reserved of harsh government criticism, but when the list of people on the CIA watch list is so sensitive, I think just having a profile on here automatically gets you on that list. If something as trivial as being a college student gets you on the list, being on a conspiracy site makes you a no brainer.

I'm surrounded by sheeple, and being in high school makes it even worse lol. This site makes you realize that theirs not as many sheeple as you thought their was. But posting too much makes life worse, the fear mongering starts to get to you, the eye strain, just being on the computer or my phone too much gets to me. You have ats and electronics in moderation. And you have to take things on ats with a grain if salt. But overall yes, you just have to be on moderation, if your on here too much it's stressful. You have to enjoy and live your life. You have to enjoy this floating rock while your on it.

Nothing can help you create the life you want, you can either suck it up and do it yourself or not. If that weren't the case none of us would really be compelled to be here now would we?

...but I'd rather FEEL better about it

Has it gotten me closer to the life which i choose to create? I would have to say yes. I have always had my doubts as to what we are told is the actual truth. And with all OBL talk aside, The Japanese crisis alone has proven to me that we can not really trust our governments. Not because of the major industrial or natural disasters (or man made natural) but for the lack of coverage alone regarding the nuclear fallout or lack of coverage on the 'birds point levee' Sure we have been shown some MSM news coverage, little blips hear and there.

If it were not for EvolEric and his Birds Point Levee thread I would not even have known of the detonations.

So just knowing alone that I WILL get news on here that IS proven to be true, Yes, Yes I am getting closer to the life I want where I can be told something and hopefully one day TRUST that it is true!

I don't think posting on ATS makes me feel better, but reading peoples idea's in topics throughout the board does!! The diverse topics and views being written here in the forums and the questions about life's topics make me feel that there are people out there that are really searching for the answers.

I learn something new every day when i open up my bookmarks and find that ATS logo. I am glad i live in a time when knowledge is abound and i can seek out answers to the universe with like minded intellectuals who don't not only question the lies we have been told, but question the reality in which those lies have been packaged. Never believe what you are told and find your own answers. YOU PEOPLE ARE THE REAL SEEKERS OF TRUTH!!

ATS has made my life better.

How? Well, first feeling better about yourself makes for a better life automatically. Realizing that you are not the only person in the room having these crazy, alternative, paranoid thoughts is really quite a relief.

Secondly, ATS is really entertaining... not in a 3 Stooges or Eddie murphy kind of way...more in a 60 Minutes intellectual kind of way. Although some threads lack depth...many here are challenging and you really have to be up on your science, politics, history, astronomy, and geology.

Lastly, I can't get news links from anywhere else on a breaking subject or event in progress any faster than I can here. All the latest, breaking news with mainstream analysis and deep, alternative and skeptical critiques.

And here it is Wed AM and it has just finished raining so I can go out in a minute and get to work on my farm... meanwhile, I'll finish my coffee...and have a few more reads here.

YES, ATS has made my life better.

no it doesn't make my life any better
...we have our own specialties of the things we know some paranormal some political ect...sometimes it temporarily eases my thirst for curiosity/truth...the sheeple depends on mainstream media for news, others look elsewhere like ATS.

Hi there ..

Although im pretty new to this site .. i know by past experiences, i tend to hammer these sites .. for a while .. like an addiction .. and then steer clear for a while once my mind needs a change .. i go through phases of having different activites .. and seem to 'hammer' each, during each phase ...

Although i cant say time on ATS, or the likes, helps create the life that i want for myself or others ...
But .. in places like this .. i am exposed to new ideas, which i may not have heard of before, which i find fascinating, and stimulates my mind ... I am always looking to refine my world view / theory of life ... and for me, that is time well spent

creating the life that i want for myself and others can be achieved in other aspects of life, when im not on ATS .. but part of the life i want, is a better understanding of what life is ... so i guess places like ATS, can help change my view of reality over time, and potentially create a better understanding which i believe in my case has already contributed to a better quality of life ...

And as mentioned by poster above ...
I don't really watch TV much ... And prefer the likes of ATS for my world news ...

I see some people watching TV ... Their eyes fixated on the little screen, barely moving ... from my perspective, they can sometimes look almost devoid of mind .. like a zombie ... it doesnt look good ... i guess i look similar when i also watch TV .. which is at a very minimum .. and not that pointless aimless drivel that i see my mates watching .. i only watch news, educational stuff .. or a bit of comedy or sci fi for escape ...

My point is .. what i do .. on ATS, for my news and mental stimulation, looks to be faar more interactive, than the image i have of my mates when theyre fixated on coronation street ...
