1. I don't know what it means but I'm assuming some degree of "awesome" applies.

Lol nice.

But seriously, you only need to do a little research on the possible applications of anti-matter to see it's potential.

Friendly advice: edit with more content before you get modslapped, which you will.

My OT response: AWESOME!

Slightly more detailed article here: www.popsci.com... . Of note:

For instance, it's unknown whether gravity affects antimatter in the same way as it affects normal matter. That is, scientists don't even know if antimatter falls up or falls down. Having containers of the stuff to observe will naturally help scientists probe these unknowns.

Wow, for sixteen minutes?

I say it'll be less than five years before we'll be able to control it for up to half an hour, possibly to an hour.

With the power of anti matter, space travel will take a great turn.

One word and a link?

It would have been a better OP if you had taken a bit of time to summarise and given your view too.

I wonder how long it will take for them to apply this major achievement to weaponry and destruction - or maybe this time they might do something to benefit our planet and all of mankind (won't hold my breath).

Is the point of this to be able to create anti-matter in the future or just to utilise it?

Well eventually if we can contain it, then we can use it.

YAY! no more buying gasoline for my truck. I was promised a nuclear powered vehicles 40 years ago, but anti-matter would be great. Anti matter is anti-gravity, so the jet packs are on the horizon.
