IMHO you gave away way too many hints. If you want to do a real experiment, don't give away hints of any kind. A simple no or nope etc. to peoples replies would be better.

A test like this could be even better if the mods or some other trustable person knew what the image was ahead of time and could verify the correct image when guessed.

Now let me see if I understand this correctly.

OP comes on with an ESP experiment.

Then for an hour people play twenty questions following hints along the way getting warmer and warmer and warmer until finally someone makes has the correct "vision".

Then for the next two hours more and more people join in with more incorrect guesses.

Under games I say fun. Under jokes I say I'm laughing. Under "Psychology, Philosophy and Metaphysics I say not funny at all. This went on for over seven pages.

So trying to stay true to the forum, I will drop the metaphysics here and philosophize for a moment. Psychology can only explain what has happened on this thread and that is way above my pay grade. Especially as this concept has run through here two or three times in the last week or so with just about the same results.

Don't have ESP but I'm going to use some deductive reasoning. I think you placed a piece of paper with something drawn on it on your window sill.

I also think one guess per member would be good as well.

Just some thoughts on how to possibly improve things.

damn it I guessed candle stick or candle, then took it down because I felt silly since it was over and thought I was wrong, then go back in the thread and seen it WAS A CANDLE, oh DAMN IT!!, I cant believe I got it right but no proof now, darn it all to heck!!! &$#$#

I was seeing a spinning disk this morning before I left for work. That just appeared in my mind's eye and I felt strongly about it. I am wondering now if I am even close.
