You wouldn't by any chance be a member of the extreme left-wing anti-birther Politijab group would you? They have a nasty habit of finding mean and/or disgusting pictures and posting them with insulting jabs at the Right. If I ever see you use the term "birfer", I will think you are one of them.

NO, just a realism, probably the only one on the ats who has the galls to speak the truth on stupid and immature matters. Probably the last realist on earth.

Where I come from we pronounce our ‘E’ AND ‘R’

SO. Back to the subject that bush gave up the opportunity to declare bin laden was dead, and put him on Ice, yady yada ya. Please stay on topic and stop trolling such good evidence that bush killed Osama and put him on ice, by Mr. Alex Jones. Thank you.

Ok, cause I do know some of the Politijab crowd, and one even lives the next county over, and told me they were responsible for sending Orly Taitz a fake BC, and they do call "birthers" "birfers" and they do post ridiculous and idiotic and mean garbage insults and poke fun at people endlessly. Oh they also use the term "jeebus". I hear that one of them even has a high level position in ICANN. www.icann.org...

And for some really odd reason, they have an obsession with Hoverrounds and joke about it all the time. I personally find it abhorrent to poke fun at the elderly who cannot get around, but this is what these leftist type of radicals do without the least bit of compassion.
So, as far as Bush giving up the opportunity to flaunt a dead UBL, he didn't need to. That was one of the points in AJ's message if I recall correctly.
I find it amusing that some will defend this current admin unabashedly while still blaming Bush for everything, even when this admin does almost the exact same stuff the past one did. I mean they hated Bush for undeclared wars but its ok if the UN says so, they hated Bush for the Patriot Act, but its ok for this one to renew it. They hated Bush for making us take off our shoes and belts in the airport, but by golly it's the right thing to do to make us stand in front of dangerous machines and irradiate us to the bone marrow, and let TSA grope and terrorize small children.
And don't bother calling me partisan, because I didn't like Bush either.

I personally believe that if this happened, that either SEAL team 6 or Delta Force would suffice by themselves.

But i could also see the current administration not wanting to got through what Jimmy Carter did in the wake of Operation Eagle Claw (i.e. I could see the justification for using both forces as "insurance").

www.helis.com...

On 4 November 1979, after a popular revolution swept the Shah of Iran, a close American ally, out of power, Iranian students backing the new revolutionary Islamic government stormed the US embassy in Teheran and took the staff and USMC security contigent hostage. In all, 52 Americans were captured and it was unclear whether they were being tortured or readied for execution. After six months of failed negotiation, the US broke diplomatic relations with Iran on 8 April 1980 and the newly certified US Army Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (Airborne) was put on full alert and plans were being drawn up for a rescue. The Americans faced a daunting task. Teheran is well inside Iran and away from friendly countries. The hostages were not held at an airport as in Israel's four years earlier Entebbe raid. Good intelligence was hard to come by about forces inside the embassy and in Teheran. And of course, all the planning and training had to be carried out in complete secrecy.

With the mission already aborted, things got worse when one of the helicopters moved to another position and drifted into one of the parked EC-130's. In the pilot's defense, it was dark and his rotors kicked up an immense dust cloud, making it difficult to see but immediately both the C-130 and RH-53 burst into flames, lighting up the dark desert night, and 8 crewmembers lost their lives. CAPT Harold L. Lewis Jr. USAF EC-130E A/C Commander CAPT Lyn D. McIntosh USAF EC-130E Pilot CAPT Richard L. Bakke USAF EC-130E Navigator CAPT Charles McMillian USAF EC-130E Navigator TSGT Joel C. Mayo USAF EC-130E Flight Engineer SSgt Dewey Johnson USMC RH-53D Crewmember Sgt John D. Harvey USMC RH-53D Crewmember Cpl George N. Holmes USMC RH-53D Crewmember The C-130 was evacuated and the order came to blow the aircraft and exfiltrate the country. However, in the dust and confusion the order never reached the people who would blow the aircraft. There were wounded and dying men to be taken care of and the aircraft had to be moved to avoid having the burning debris start another fire. Because of this failure to destroy the helicopters, the Americans left behind them 5 RH-53D intact and top secret plans fell into the hands of the Iranians the next day and the agents waiting in-country to help the Delta operators were almost captured. Debris of the EC-130E BuNo 62-1809 Lockheed Hercules c/n 3770 "A few days ago the President made a very courageous decision as he ordered us to execute the rescue operation as we tried to free our Americans held hostage in Teheran. It was not a risk-free operation-there is no such thing as a risk-free operation..... we all shared considerable disappointment that we were not successful. But let's not be despondent about that. Our job is now to remain alert, to look for those opportunities, times when we can bring our Americans out. Our job is to stay ready." Admiral Thomas B. Hayward, Chief of Naval Operations, in a video message to USS Nimitz, USS Texas and USS California during their transit home from the Indian Ocean. After Eagle Claw a long negotiation follows, including the beginning of the Iraq-Iran war. Was on 19 January 1981 when Secretary Christopher signs the accord at 3:35 E.S.T. and on January 20, after last-minute delays over fund transfers, the hostages leave Teheran on the 444th day of their captivity, minutes after President Carter leaves office. On January 21, citizen Carter greets the hostages at Weisbaden, West Germany. Operation Honey Badger which was to be the second attempt to rescue the hostages from Iran was no longer necessary

The whole mess led to the formation of SEAL Team 6, and a revised version of Delta Force

History

The origins of ST6 can be traced to the aftermath of Operation Eagle Claw, the failed 1980 attempt to rescue American hostages at the U.S. Embassy in Iran.[4] [5] [6] During the Iran Hostage Crisis in 1979, Richard Marcinko was one of two Navy representatives for a Joint Chiefs of Staff task force known as the TAT (Terrorist Action Team). The purpose of the TAT was to develop a plan to free the American hostages held in Iran, which culminated in Operation Eagle Claw . In the wake of the operation's disaster at the Desert One base in Iran, the U.S. Navy saw the need for a full-time dedicated Counter-Terrorist Team and tasked Marcinko with its design and development.

So it seems at least possible both teams could have taken part.

I just found this on the Wiki, it's brand new, thought it might be of interest.

Operation Neptune Spear: Death of Osama bin Laden Main article: Death of Osama bin Laden On May 1-2, 2011, DEVGRU was involved in its most famous operation to date, the operation, codename Neptune Spear,[26] that killed Osama bin Laden at his compound in the affluent suburb of Abottabad, Pakistan.[27][28] In the 38-minute mission, there were no injuries or casualties to the team. The team practiced the mission "on both American coasts" as well as in a segregated section of Camp Alpha at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan in early April 2011, using a one-acre replica of bin Laden's compound. [29] Modified MH-60 helicopters from the U.S. Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment carried Navy SEALs and were supported by other personnel with tactical signals, intelligence collectors, and navigators using highly classified hyperspectral imagers from Ghazi Air Base in Pakistan. It has been speculated that these helicopters may have spoofed transponder codes and been painted to resemble Pakistan Air Force equipment by other JSOC units, the Technical Application Programs Office and the Aviation Technology Evaluation Group.[citation needed] The raid involved close collaboration with the CIA. A May 1 memo from CIA Director Leon Panetta thanked the National Security Agency and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, whose mapping and pattern recognition software was likely used to determine that Bin Laden lived in the compound with "high probability". Members of these agencies were paired with JSOC units in forward-deployed fusion cells to "exploit and analyze" battlefield data instantly using biometrics, facial recognition, voice print databases, and predictive models of insurgent behavior based on surveillance and computer-based pattern analysis.[30] The raid force killed Bin Laden, his adult son, an unknown woman, and two couriers.[31]

Edit: I just picked up on the "Neptune Sear" interesting given the controversy in the sea burial topic.

Aren't they also saying that around 25 or more of these guys where on the ground? Correct me if i'm wrong, but i have always heard that when they use Seal Team six it's usually just a small team of 8 guys at the most. However with something this major i could see using both and using a large group to not take any chances.

Night gypsy,

Take a look at Infowars. The articles are there and dated 2002 stating that obl is dead and will be put on ice until a convenient time for politics.

I'm sure Alex Jones will get some things wrong from time to time but have heard him say many times that he is happy to be proven wrong. We need someone who gets the lime light to bring the people's views into the msm otherwise our collective voice is not heard. He is a bit outrageous sometimes but that is exactly what we need.
He hasn't actually proven that the body was on ice. If Osama showed up at any time, all he had to do is point to either statement and say it just proves his point.

Starting with an ad hominem and an unsupported assertion. Standard tactic for you lot. You're supposed to address the argument, not the arguer.

This is a nation of justice. Justice to me means having the evidence to support a claim. If you claim to have shot osama in the eye twice and throw him in the sea.... Well have some evidence to support that because it wouldnt hold in court.
It was the exact same DNA test they did for Saddam(and plenty of others), and that held up pretty well in court. What evidence is there that this one is different? No, not speculation about how or why, but actual evidence.

If my understanding of ST6 is correct, they consist of a core group of SEALs from various backgrounds, and are usually supported by specialists, usually other SEALs but not always.

Geronimo was the code name for the operation that sent two teams of 12 SEALS zooming by Blackhawk helicopters to a walled compound in Abbotabad, Pakistan, on Sunday to kill or capture the most wanted man in the world. Anxious White House officials weren't positive that they would find bin Laden in the fortress-like complex, that he might leave while the SEALS were en route

abcnews.go.com...

So far i can't find anything about Delta being involved.

OOOO-K.
I do not know or understand what the leftist do, and I really do not care about either side, the only things I care about are real issues that make sense with out the false thinking of wild conspiracies by puppet followers that believe anything and everything just because a person is on TV or utube.

Therefore, to listen to people actually say that George w bush passed this opportunity, is a slap in the face NOT ONLY TO HIM, but the birfers the republicanabals and the pirates of the tea bagged .In addition, that's about as real as it gets.
This thread is about a republican president that supposedly killed bin laden, put him on ice, and was waiting for what ever reasons it was…I forgot ;wasn’t important to remember!

So if people believe that ,then so be it…I mean, it doesn’t really surprise me, being though palin and trump are the best chance the right has to winning. I KNOW, SAD ‘RIGHT’!

I remember when I was little, and I saw a kid get off the a yellow bus with a helmet on, slobbering on him self, my mother told me don’t make fun of him, and it was wrong, so don’t think I take pleasure in answering post like these .I really don’t !
It reminds me of that day for some reason, dont understand.

I know... UBL was an @hole for sure, but I am also puzzled by the fact that all the alleged terrorists have been indicted by sitting Federal Grand Juries in various jurisdictions in the United States for the crimes reflected on their wanted posters. Evidence was gathered and presented to the Grand Juries, which led to their being charged with no mention to 9/11 when you provide direct links from the 1993 incident obviously over looked during these proceedings.

Usama Bin Laden is wanted in connection with the August 7, 1998, bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. These attacks killed over 200 people. In addition, Bin Laden is a suspect in other terrorist attacks throughout the world.

www.fbi.gov...

It gives me the impression that in open dialogue "Justice was served for 9/11" as the President said this week is not really legal compared to whats on the American jurisdictional paper which is.

www.fbi.gov...

Going further things become contrived for any conspiracy theory now... via this lack of consistency within the system itself.

Is the FBI not sanctioned legally to issue these warrants for 9/11 but for everything else ?

This distorts the truth and can easily be avoided by providing warrants that say wanted for 9/11 so there is no confusion for some unless maybe the facts really are not wanted for 9/11.

It is also important to note that these individuals will remain wanted in connection with their alleged crimes until such time as the charges are dropped or when credible physical evidence is obtained, which proves with 100% accuracy, that they are deceased.

As an alternative it may have been a better decision to say nothing at all about the current status of perceived success with out process or desire to provide evidence.

The most dangerous untruths are truths moderately distorted.
