is Cindy Sheehan, the woman who camped out for weeks at President George W. Bush’s Texas compound after her son was killed in Iraq, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Osama bin Laden, conspiracy"I am sorry, but if you believe the newest death of OBL, you're stupid," the anti-war activist posted on Facebook. "Just think to yourself — they paraded Saddam's dead sons around to prove they were dead — why do you suppose they hastily buried this version of OBL at sea?"

Bin Laden may have died, but not 9/11 conspiracy theories

Before the birthers, came the ‘Truthers' — a coalition aimed at “exposing official lies” about the 9/11 attacks to “understand the truth that the U.S. government and covert policy apparatus orchestrated” them. This ‘movement,' has, however, been only one of many engines to churn out conspiracy theories about 9/11. And while the death of Osama bin Laden at the hands of U.S. forces in Pakistan on Monday will close the manhunt for America's ‘Most Wanted Terrorist,' grandiose theories about the deed that made him infamous are likely to persist.

Bin Laden's sea burial fuels conspiracy theories

We are going to do everything we can to make sure that nobody has any basis to try to deny that we got Osama bin Laden," said John Brennan, Obama's top counter-terrorism advisor. "And so, therefore, the releasing of information and whether that includes photographs — this is something to be determined."

some people in the comment section have even attacked Cindy Sheehan a mother who lost a son on 9/11 for expressing her right to speak her mind, without questioning the big government story version.

It is good that they are under attack. Most of these "theories" are completely retarded and ill-informed bullocks.

Oh really doesn't it matter to you that your government lied on 9/11? and what about those WMDs in iraq that we were told about?

These theories are not retarded you sir are ill-informed if you keep believing everything that your government does or says.

If people dont start asking or questioning i wonder who will? dont hold your luck on the mainstream news for fair and balanced reporting and questioning.

well the death of saddam and uday and kusay arent theories and why are they not?

the people were given proof.

come on people if bush came out and said they killed bin laden they would want proof oops wait a minute there

bin laden has been dead since 2001.

hmmmm what a condundrum.

so if people believed bin laden to be dead that would mean bush got him but no wait obama killed him.

my bet is that the next president will come up with bin laden agian and claim he killed him.

i was reading another thread on here today and osamas new name was

zombie bin laden its the only explanation for a man who died and then came back and then died agian.............

this would be funny is it wasnt so sad.

Questioning the authority is better than letting them walk all over you. Theories are only theories until they are proven right or wrong, of which neither has happened.

I do agree that it is good they are under attack, because at least they are getting acknowledgment rather than just being ignored. Any press is good press! This will at least get people to realize that everything may not be as it seems. People need to think for themselves and not just go sheepishly along with what the government/MSM says is true.

By the way, anyone who uses 'retarded' to describe such a situation may just be so themselves.

In denying ignorance we must be ready to question everything, no matter how tedious or seemingly unnescessary it may seem.

why even be on a conspiracy site if youre gonna be like that..people are here looking for the truth not to be told what they were already told by the government which were lies from the start

Lying Governments cause conspiracies. The government has lied on so many occaisions that it is getting harder to take what they say as truth. It now means we request a little more information and proof to back up the big claims that they are making. Surely it shouldnt be too hard to get a picture out. Thats all I'm asking for. There is currently a full on assault on anyone who is not buying the official story on this one. I was listening to BBC world service and have never heard the word conspiracy theorist used so many times.

the thing while listening to the world service was the amount of people in the ME who are not buying this, all of them conspiracy theorists apparently.

When we have Dick Cheney telling us that Osama was in a protected cave with Surface to air missile defence and a high tech communication system, how can we take what the government says seriously. just because Obama said it.

I joined when this website was actually good. When people posted and acted rationally instead of taking every little typo and turning it into a huge "conspiracy" just for the sake of conspiracy.

Obviously the government isn't always telling the truth, no government ever does, but damned the people who "deny ignorance" seem to be denying their own because they won't accept any logical and rational explanations or evidence present that is contrary to their "theories".

Interesting. Sheehan is visibly deranged in my opinion, but you are right about her right to be as insane as she cares to be. Mostly I have sympathy for her and hope those around her, who appear to be using her, will tire of the game and she will get some help.

There are conspiracy theories based on reality and that may have merit. Then there are theories driven by hate and spread by the irrational. You have to separate the two. Truthers and Birthers are for the most part Partisans first and foremost. So much so that reason is out the window and they are easy for the MSM to point towards. So much of what they say and do is on it's face irrational. For instance pulling most of what they believe out of thin air based on nothing but Partisan fervor.

All that is happening here is orchestrated carefully by the Obama brigade and the majority of the MSM which is fully supportive of his campaign. Expect to see lots of divisiveness and slanderous remarks from the controlled media and the Obama Campaign. They have to keep attention off his having complete control of the government for two years and still not keeping his promises. They do that by keeping us divided and spreading hate. It is that simple. Getting people to vote based on hate rather than truth is how these fools get elected to begin with.

This should get even more interesting than the last one. The MSM who seems to mostly represent the 15% of the population that are of the same radical mindset as Obama and his Cronies are in panic mode. Their diety Obama screwed up and turned out to be a lousy leader, opening the door wide for the other side. They are justifiably concerned and if they had any sense, they would set up a different Democrat to beat Obama in the Primaries. But then who am I to advise a bunch of nutty Partisan's up to no good.

The only place I've ever ran into a Truther or Birther is here or from a link from here. Their numbers must be quite small. I'm more interested in theories based on good evidence and I imagine most won't pay much attention to this stuff. It's ranks up there with the Elvis is alive crowd. Now I have met two Elvis's (Elvisi?) in my life, in two different cities. Both thought they were actually Elvis and both seemed intelligent and rational. Go figure.

Looks like the incompetent, disreputable and robotically guided mainstream media is quickly on the justification offensive before the fake blood has even dried on this latest shenanigan. If they want to shovel the BullFrog, just shovel it right back at 'em. These uninformed closed minded dimwits are a decade behind the times and either need to catch up or get off the toilet already.

Putting out such mentally challenged pieces without demanding credible evidence on the Bin Laden operation is a textbook diversion tactic. The problem is, these intellectually hollow drones are too stupid to realize that there is such a thing as going to the well once too often.

It's the growth and popularity with young people. It would be nice to see more of an effort to deny ignorance and more good debate.

Debate is becoming a lost art I think. People are following the lead of our leaders and look what a wonderful example our politicians are setting by embracing ignorance. It's the trend of the times and not ATS I think. We have to treat it like the Cable TV remote and only click on what we want and leave the rest to those who are into other things.

I think many here don't even understand the purpose of ATS which is to separate truth from fiction. The motto does not even engage the light bulbs in their heads as to what ATS is. It's a bit like the Old Testament and how it's actually object lessons into what not to do, but the religion haters present it the other way, not realizing the truth of it has zoomed over their heads.

I'm fairly sure the average age of members has dropped quite fast of late.

The way i see your the one whose not accepting any logical and rational explanations or any evidence like that the fact is still.

Governments lie, you still buy the claim we are in under a recovery? if so where are the jobs? where i am i have been looking everywhere for jobs, but sadly i cant find them.

The american government keeps claiming that the unemployment rate is at 8% but the real number is higher then 8%

And during 2 iraqi the american people were lied about

in 1990 the american public were lied that saddam forces in Kuwaiti threw babies from there Incubators, it turned out that to be a lie.

In 2003 The american public were lied again that saddam had WMD and the saddam had ties with bin laden, after all these years later we later find out that it was a lie.

And toppling of saddam statue putting an american flag on its head? a huge PSYOPS psychological operation was played.

And now in 2011 a another psychological operation is been played mainstream that claim that a navy seals team went in Pakistani killed bin laden and his sons two days ago or so.

So far no evidence has been shown to the public, if they do show the evidence they may fake the evidence just like they are toying with us with the unemployment rates.

"Edited:Bin laden died since the 2000s, remember how the mainstream kept using his audios tapes? audio tapes dont prove his alive, audio tapes much like these video tapes of bin laden in the past that we have seen can be easily faked.

people just feed off of others theories..usually most dont do any real research themselves, they just take what they have read before and add something new to it and make it a even bigger conspiracy than it was to begin with...but i do believe that alot of the theories have plenty of evidence to support them but i do agree some do seem way too out there

Why are those who question the government the recipient of ridicule? We have every right to question our employees.

The government is purposefully being vague and shady then ridiculing those who doubt. Why laugh at those who doubt known liars? And politicians/government are notorious liars. They have no credibility. They are creating the conspiracies by not being transparent then mocking those who request more information.

Yes, there will always be those who will never believe them regardless of the amount of evidence but do not marginalize the average citizen for asking questions. I find it appalling the government often takes pot shots at citizens who question their claims.

my friend said to me today "whatever man, not everything is a conspiracy" when I said they had killed bin laden "as far as we know" simply asking whether the official story is true or not and i'm no longer credible

I find it refreshing that the MSM is attacking ridiculous conspiracy theories.

At it's best, a conspiracy theory is silly (birther movement, fake moon landing). At it's worst, it's dangerous (Holocaust Denial).

I would much rather believe that our governments told us the truth all the time and that politicians never lied or did things for political motives, I really would, It would fit my paradigm on the world a whole lot easier than believing everything is a lie.
