What were you doing on 9/11 before you saw the news?

I can remember that I was doing an introductionary Journalism course. That was at a Film, TV and multimedia college, next to a TV studio. I heard people talking about it. Afterwards I got the newspaper, and then drove to my workplace 30 km (18.6 Miles) away. There I was asked to draw a map of the USA on a whiteboard, and indicate Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and San Francisco. I did. (I also indicated Seattle.)
They were then talking about it. I read the newspaper, and was stunned.
I have a good long-term memory. I can remember that time well. The American Consulate was asking for blood donations. I should have - so a part of me could go to the USA.

I read also that a Muslim woman here donated, to show that not all Muslims are terrorists, or agree with it.
