And with this kinda crap, this is going to be long and drawn out.

The announcement this morning of the death of Sheikh Usama Bin laden has been met with joy in the United States and by other enemies of Islam and Muslims. I would like remind everyone that someone much better and much more significant then Sheikh Usama Bin laden passed away in the past, namely the Messenger Muhammad (saw) and that this never stopped the Jihad nor the spread of Islam to the East and West. Indeed the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said that the day of judgement will not come until a group of Muslims conquer the White House.

Article goes on about this fruitcake and his " greatness".

Sickening really.

I felt the same way when they announce the Ghadaffi family casualties on Saturday. Killing someones family means they have nothing to lose. The same set of principles is applied to Osamas "death announcement" and the celebration, or taunting for lack of a better term was displayed.

I could go on and on with theories I have... not just yet though as they are merely speculative theories and I would rather bring them to the table with info to back-up.

I am very familiar with your feelings--and mixed with this situation, my feelings go both ways as well. Osama being dead is a good thing--while we can never have total justice for the thousands that lost their lives on 9/11, along with the other bombings he masterminded, such as the USS Cole, I have a feeling that Al Qaeda may try to pull something unprecedented, perhaps attacks on multiple world cities with nuclear weapons, perhaps dirty bombs. If they have the capability to do that, this would be the time that they would. Without Bin Laden at the helm, it's only a matter of time before Al Qaeda most likely will begin to splinter into power struggles with individual leaders. They may try to make one last unified action that will create a lasting legacy on this world. Pray for our intelligence officers and let's hope for the best.

there is no such thing as some sort of cohesive unified organisation such as Al Qaeda- at best it is a generic name for any group or individual that wants to commit terror in the name of Islam

I couldn't help but be a little scared too. I was wondering why everyone was celebrating as though our threat of terrorism completely gone. I understand being happy that the guy is dead but I agree, I am worried because I know those brainwashed maniacs are going to plan some sort of retaliation.

No use in worrying yourself sick over it as there is nothing we really have control of. We are expecting a retaliation and as long as we are expecting it I feel as though we are a little safe.

great. this is exactly the type of attitude that's going to get us all killed.
you realize that your sunny view of this nation doesn't match up with reality, right?
America is not always the good guy.
"they" do not exist. "they" are many disparate groups mad at us for very different, very real, very understandable reasons.
telling people angry enough to kill us to sit down and shut up, and assassinating their figurehead without proof or trial or conviction, is the best way to ensure many american deaths and much more pain and suffering in the future. if we truly were the greatest nation on earth, we would have arrested OBL and tried him, then started outreach programs to the parts of the world we have most negatively affected. but that will never happen, because the majority, like you, will never believe that any americans anywhere in the world could ever do anything bad or wrong.
now, we've given our government permission to ignore the sovereignty of other nations, commit assassinations on foreign soil, ignore due process and act without oversight. so now, if your government decides that you are a terrorist and a threat, they can kill you outright without explaining it to anyone.

Wow, you must be a carpenter because you hit that nail square on the head.
Many don't see the runaway train they are on. What's messed up is they're fueling it.

Great so I am supposed to feel bad for a mass murderer who did not get due process because he plotted to try to take America down and killed thousands of innocent civilians.

And I am supposed to have sympathy for a country that hates America, yet receives millions in foreign aid?

You joker!!

I will say it again.

America is the greatest country on planet earth!

The minute I heard the news I thought OMG are they crazy? These people are cheering and they are so ignorant they don't know what's up next.

Either we will have a terrorist attack that makes 9-11 look like childs play or our government will make something happen and blame it on terrorist.

I remember reading on yahoo news a couple of months ago about dirty bombs being in brought into the country. I thought then well duh some of us have known this for years.

Perhaps that is a clue for us. Don't some say they always tell us what they are going to do before they do it? I'm not talking about the ones the government tell us are terrorist. I'm talking about the PTB

I agree with you 100% OP. Just because you kill the figurehead doesn't always mean the rest will fall. It wouldn't surprise me if someone else has been running most of the operations anyway. Killing Osama hasn't really achieved anything but to fullfill the blood-thirsty American population who wanted revenge.

This is the though that horrifies me.

Personally, I don't believe the government would kill thousands of people just to make us hate terrorists. It's simply illogical. The government isn't THAT heartless.

But I do agree that Al-Qaeda could conduct an attack a million times worse than 9/11. That was 10 years ago, that's plenty of time for them to hit the lab and create more powerful bombs and weapons that they wouldn't get caught with.

No one's asking you to feel guilty about anything. But it was our government's fault that we were so unprepared for an attack, so we really were weak. And who's to say we aren't 100% prepared for attack now?

I'd have to disagree, America isn't exactly the greatest country ever... just my opinion.

I think they are that heartless. I live in Alabama. You want to know what I saw that day of the tornado's. I saw planes up in the air laying out chemical lines while the sun was still shining. NOAH was already sending out warnings that the storms were going to be severe and heavy rains and hail. With a possibilty of tornado's. So why were they heating up the atomosphere even more? 230 tornado's that day here and missing neighbors and many more dead.

New Orleans is our governments EMA really that messed up that it took them so long?

Check out the thread on the university in Ill.

Fema camps. Haarp. I'm no longer sure these are off the wall things.
