I tend to support taking the high road, even against enemies. These extremist muslim groups strike me as a different beast though. Teaching children to worship death in the name of their god, favoring random, fully intentional targetting of civilians, brutal public executions, human shields, hiding in civilian safe areas...

thanks red! what upsets me though, are the comments from the general public on the msm news sites. 95% of the comments are people blindly buying the story, while the few that raise logical questions are immediately attacked ad hominem. very disappointing and frustrating.

The photo I think you are talking about has been determined to be a Fake/Hoax.

There is a thread on ATS about but also on LiveLeak. Also, MSM seems to be picking up on it also now.

There has been no photo of Bin Laden released yet.

After reading more I think ABC probably got it wrong because of poor fact checking and a desire to be first, or at least timely, with the information. Pictures taken on the ground seem to match the location in the OP.

I doubt if there was any plot to deceive the public, they just got burned by poor journalism.

I must say I was very impressed by the work of SEAL Team Six, I just hope and pray that they let the commander of the team write a book. This will go down as one of the most successful missions in the war against terrorism, if only for who was killed. I was surprised that the SEAL’s got in and not Delta, I bet they were pissed at Fort Brag. Also the media and ATS keep overlooking the role that SAD must have played in this operation
