**The Secret Team That Killed Bin Laden (Double tap to left side of Face)

From Ghazi Air Base in Pakistan, the modified MH-60 helicopters made their way to the garrison suburb of Abbottabad, about 30 miles from the center of Islamabad. Aboard were Navy SEALs, flown across the border from Afghanistan, along with tactical signals, intelligence collectors, and navigators using highly classified hyperspectral imagers.

After bursts of fire over 40 minutes, 22 people were killed or captured. One of the dead was Osama bin Laden, done in by a double tap -- boom, boom -- to the left side of his face. His body was aboard the choppers that made the trip back. One had experienced mechanical failure and was destroyed by U.S. forces, military and White House officials tell National Journal.

Were it not for this high-value target, it might have been a routine mission for the specially trained and highly mythologized SEAL Team Six, officially called the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, but known even to the locals at their home base Dam Neck in Virginia as just DevGru.

This HVT was special, and the raids required practice, so they replicated the one-acre compound. Trial runs were held in early April.

DevGru belongs to the Joint Special Operations Command, an extraordinary and unusual collection of classified standing task forces and special-missions units. They report to the president and operate worldwide based on the legal (or extra-legal) premises of classified presidential directives. Though the general public knows about the special SEALs and their brothers in Delta Force, most JSOC missions never leak.

We only hear about JSOC when something goes bad (a British aid worker is accidentally killed) or when something really big happens (a merchant marine captain is rescued at sea), and even then, the military remains especially sensitive about their existence. Several dozen JSOC operatives have died in Pakistan over the past several years. Their names are released by the Defense Department in the usual manner, but with a cover story -- generally, they were killed in training accidents in eastern Afghanistan. That’s the code.

In an interview at CIA headquarters two weeks ago, a senior intelligence official said the two proud groups of American secret warriors had been “deconflicted and basically integrated” -- finally -- 10 years after 9/11. Indeed, according to accounts given to journalists by five senior administration officials Sunday night, the CIA gathered the intelligence that led to bin Laden’s location. A memo from CIA Director Leon Panetta sent Sunday night provides some hints of how the information was collected and analyzed. In it, he thanked the National Security Agency and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency for their help. NSA figured out, somehow, that there was no telephone or Internet service in the compound. How it did this without Pakistan’s knowledge is a secret. The NGIA makes the military’s maps but also develops their pattern recognition software -- no doubt used to help establish, by February of this year, that the CIA could say with “high probability” that bin Laden and his family were living there.

The diagram doesn't line up with the photo. The building with the dish (TV satellite dish?) on top in the diagram is shifted in the photo.

I don't have anything against the U.S. Military at the present moment..I do wish though that they would wake up and quit killing for their masters the ruling elite...You can stay dumb for only so long..after that you are a willing participant..then I will have something against them.....

This fallacy that the media is trying to portray about the military trained to aim for the head is a total joke.

I cracked up when I heard them say it. This would be the first I heard of anyone being trained to shoot for one of the smallest targets on the human body.

You shoot center mass. This headshot business is a joke, and quite frankly this fabricated story is a riot to listen to. "They recognized that it was Osama Bin Laden during the firefight." That was my favorite quote.

How much more convenient can this whole sham get before people see through it.

1. He happens to be training terrorists in a nation we're desperately trying to find reasons to attack.
2. He is suddenly healthy enough to be active in a firefight, even though he can barely walk 10 years ago.
3. They kill him in such a way to make him unrecognizable.
4. They hide all evidence he ever died.
5. Propaganda Fail.

You can see the Sat very clearly and the down helo. I think you can determine the direciton etc.

But, yes, I agree, the whole Sat think is odd-since it was reported OBL had no Commo.

Maybe I was seeing the size difference, there seems to be a black circle where the satellite dish or whatever it is stands out in the photo. Looking at the empty spaces on the compound, I'd bet there is a large tunnel system under there. Was that all space for gardens? Interesting post though, thanks for posting it.

Yes, thanks. I see the pics of the garden near the side of the house. Osama may have been into organics? The helicopter seems to be piled up against a wall, and quickly sealed off from view by a curtain. I'd think that journalists would be flocking to the home to interview people who were in the compound during the attack.

Look a little closer to the photo. There is a flattened dirt spot in the shape of the building with the satellite dish on it.
I wonder how long they actually had "new intel" on this compound????

It does look like to me that there was at one time a structure on that spot???

This whole thing gets more convoluted as time goes on. I have heard so many versions and details of this operaton, that I doubt we will never really know what actually happened. We will get "just enough" information to keep the major flock of sheeple content with the fact that the "boogie man" is no longer gonna jump out of the closet.

I should expect that especially people here on ATS should know and accept that we will never get the truth from the MSM and TPTB!!!

I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop on this story. "For every action, there is an equal and opposite counter reaction." (or something like that.)

Maybe the average person trains for center mass, but people who train 10 hours a day six days a week for operations like this have the advantage of being a little bit better than the average person. But far be it for me to question you knowledge of the training regiment of the SEAL community.

you have not taken FBI nor special ops training now have you? FBI three taps heart lung head , special ops behind ear in between eyes behind ear stops all movement body reflexes, between eyes confirms kill or vice versa and yes this shot can be made up too and including one mile

Where are all the shell casings??? Why is that place not torn-up more that that??
You would think that after a 40 minute fire fight there would be more damage?
Although that place didn't look like the Weston Inn and Suites to begin with.
I'm just saying that this was a totaly neat assination via long drawn out "fire fight".... If there is such a thing?

Look at the photos. I think you will see more. Blast hole in the wall, blood under the bed.

English papers are saying he died as his wife screamed his name.......

In my opinion, he deserves so much worse than what he got.

And, the whole burying him at sea thing.... we should have hung him from the highest place, maybe flown him around the area at the bottom of the helo. Then stuffed his body into a 55 gallon drum of pig's blood and then set it aflame.

So why is there a SINGLE bullet hole in the CENTER OF HIS FOREHEAD between the EYE'S? This description does not match their photos they released.

I find it hard to believe that we will ever get the truth.

There are just too many facts and non-facts floating aroud in cyber-space as fast as we can think them.

There is still some debate here on ATS if he died yesterday or three years ago.

Center of mass refers to the center of "the most of what you can see", not necessarily "the middle of the thoracic cavity." If the head, or thigh, or hand, or arm is the only thing peeking out from cover, it does in fact become center of VISIBLE mass.

At least that's how it was explained to us at defensive handgun class.
