Video of Osama bin Laden's dead body being dropped into the North Arabian Sea from the USS Carl Vinson early this morning will be made public, according to officials.

The 40-minute ceremony, and perhaps photos of his corpse, will be released "cautiously," according to The Associated Press, citing two Pentagon officials.

US official: New tape may be last from bin Laden

U.S. intelligence officials believe Osama bin Laden made a propaganda recording shortly before his death and expect that tape to surface soon.

It is unclear whether the tape is audio or video, but a U.S. official says that intelligence indicates it is already working its way through al-Qaida's media pipeline. The official said the timing was coincidental and there is no indication he knew U.S. forces were bearing down on him.

A new recording from bin Laden would provide a final word from the beyond grave for a terrorist who taunted the U.S. with recorded propaganda for years. It could also provide fodder to those who insist he is still alive.

The United States government showed that they are better than the douchebag terrorist and respect the Muslim religion. They, in my opinion may have reduced the amount of retaliatory attacks by treating his lifeless body in accordance with Islam law.

Well it could have been the reason that another poster said, to retrieve his remains long death to avoid shrine building.

But something went wrong like the "malfunction" of one of the helicopters, that prompted a rescue mission.

What blows my mind is that there is not one news station that is questioning the reason for such a quick burial at sea. Not one. Every single news station is accepting that we would chase this guy for 10 years, and then a day after we kill him, we dispose of the body. Right.

Our modern media is sooo pathetic.

The sheet was actually Glad Press n Seal freezer. The 40 minutes was the cooking time to defrost his body in the USS Carl Vinsons super microwave.

No I really don't. I'm pretty up to speed on my basic understanding of genetics.

Y-DNA mutates slow enough that with Osama's father, grandfather, brothers, uncles, etc all having multiple wives there are probably several hundreds of descendant's of this Y-DNA male line just in the last 2 generations. And all of them will have the same Y-DNA.

Using only Y-DNA to identify a pack of super-breeding male dominant polygamists and expecting to end up IDing just ONE of them from it is stupid.

So the SEALS, with masks on, not to mention ear protectors for the gunfire, above all the screaming and chaos of a firefight, managed to hear OBLs name being called?? Not saying it's impossible, but it was quite convenient (like much of this story).

i remember on the radio this morning taking the kids to school....they were listening to 107.1 FM a major hip-hop (all rap) station in Memphis...

The DJ made mention of the newfound victory and commented about how some rappers responed to the news.
