Walmart (at least mine) has brand new copies of all seasons of SG:Atlantis for $15/piece for each season. I picked up all 5 seasons. Once Walmart gets SG:Universe for the same price, I'll have every single episode of Stargate that was ever released.

I couldn't get into Haven. I own one of the buildings on the main street. (Lincoln st) It's filmed in Lunenburg NS, Canada. I guess it's because I am so familiar with the set that I can't lose myself in the storyline without saying "I can see my house" lol

I payed $45-$50 at Best Buy for the first 8 seasons of SG1 until I saw that Walmart had the same seasons for $19.99. So I bought the last two seasons of SG1 for $19.99. I've bought seasons of other TV shows at Walmart for around $20 as well.

I check Walmart every week for new DVDs and they just literally got all 5 seasons of Atlantis in a couple/few weeks ago and they were all $15/season. I grabbed all 5 seasons!

Walmart has had seasons of SG1 for $19.99. You may want to check their website or wait for them to put those series in the stores from time to time.

Why pay $45-$50 at Best Buy when you can get the same exact shows for $15-$20 at Walmart?


ETA: That's why I'm waiting for Walmart to have all of the SG:Universe seasons for $15-$20 so I can snatch those up also.

The Wal Mart by me has a very small TV show selection..It's a smaller Wal-Mart too so their selection of everything is not as big as most.

I am going to check their site out.

I do know FYE sometimes has buy one get one free on the series but they never seem to have the shows I like..

Blinkx.com. This site must have almost every show in the world listed. If you like Fringe you might want to check out Britain's "Torchwood" series. The show 'Haven' is mmmm, okay. By S.King, it was on for one season on SyFy but you can find it on blinkx and it will take you to Hulu.

My computer is set up at the foot of my bed, so I can watch shows while comfortable. Don't think I'd enjoy it as much if I had to sit for hours in a chair.

No, I agree. The plotlines can be a little weak. I expected the show to grow, and the characters to improve, but now that it's cancelled...

Yes, awesome for you! I payed $450 for the entire SG1 series, and you get to pick it up for $80. How about them apples?

I downloaded and watched both seasons just a couple weeks ago, I was hooked and thought it was rather well paced with a very good developing storyline! now i'm kinda gutted to hear it will most likely be canned!

Personally, I don't think it has anything to do with ratings and what people like. I'm sure these reality shows are cheaper to produce, so I'm guessing the networks decide. And like you, it seems every time I like a series and start getting into it , it gets canceled. I'm almost discouraged to even start watching a new one. BTW I like V much better than The Event.

So far, didn't see anything definite, but the buzz is that V is almost certainly cancelled. I really hope they are wrong...but yeah, would be a great property for SyFy to pick up if they were so inclined.

Of course, shows with substance, don't last, because of being out rated by shows such as American Idol. I'm still amazed that X-Files was around as long as it was.
