Life imitates art... or something like that.

Welcome to the new Stephen King novel. #'s getting weird. We are getting to that point of no going back. Life imitates art.

In that case... we have a black president just like in every single Apocalypse movie (I swear I didn't think about that when I voted for the dude) and we have people going nuts over that same dude based on very racist conspiracies (which is at the beginning of most martial law movies) and now we have FIRE TORNADOES in Mexico (which SHOULD have been in some movie but Hollywood is robbing us).

Combine that with the world-wide fixation on the eugenics-obsessed royal family taking up our airwaves for 48 hours straight and... well, I'm kinda expecting a giant dome to fall on us... or an evil clown to murder us... or a comet to cause machines and toy-carrying trucks to kill us... or a fog to bring in all hellish dinosaurs and other nutty monsters... or SOMETHING. I'll end it with this:

The world is all getting to be a bit too much for there not to be some kind of fictional explanation to reconcile reality.

I suppose that's at the heart of all conspiracy...

It's about life imitating art. How we are on the brink of becoming about 128 different movies I can think of about dystopian futures. I just saw Robocop again and that got my mind rolling.

I see but whose perspective do you use to choose the most accurate movie for the times? your own?

Dude, they just about all convey the same depressing future. I think the generation and perspective matter little. It's the movie in question that matters.

Book of Eli could have been a sequel to District 9. They aren't contradictory at all.
