Hoo Haa, I hear you there. Just so you know, One solid source said to feed them honey diluted with a little warm water. The other solid source ( The
State Entomologist Report) said NOT to do this because fungal spores in the
honey could wipe out the swarm. Particularly because it is not a local wild swarm, but purchased bees from another
part of The U.S. Either way, both sources said to avoid Corn Syrup at all costs. As far as Hive Honey, I really don't
intend to harvest very much this first year. Unless the hive gets overloaded. I really want them to have as much honey as possible to overwinter this
fall.
