I am also in Texas...woke up a while ago and wanted to get on ATS for some reason...according to around the time you felt/heard rumbling my cat was sitting here frowning and looking around at what I thought was nothing...wonder if he sensed the rumbling?

SANTIAGO .- The surveliance and monitoring devices at the Volcano Observatory in Los Andes del Sur (OVDAS) belonging to SERNAGEOMIN (National Service of Geology and Mining), that are installed in the Volcanic Complex Slab - Peteroa, in the Maule Region, recorded seismic fracturing associated stable rock, which was accompanied by increased emissions of ash.

The Tungurahua volcano showed on Friday eruptive activity "of a high level" with the expulsion of large incandescent rocks, heavy ash and powerful explosion which has forced the voluntary evacuation of nearby towns.
Between late Thursday and early Friday, the volcano produced consecutive explosions were heard several miles, while on their sides rolled incandescent rocks and ash rained down on towns in the sector.
Silvana Hidalgo, Geophysical Institute's technical monitoring station giant, said that "the smaller blocks are the size of a car, while the largest reach the size of a truck, which on impact craters caused flanks impact of up to 10 meters wide, "he said.
Authorities declared "orange alert" in the area, which involves voluntary evacuation of the population and the use of state resources to address the emergency.
